Quiet spot and beautiful view of the lake

  • 3 of 5

Nice size lot and great deck. Fun for boaters. Bald eagle and other birds abound. Great breeze when all windows opened.

Carpets were stained and runners placed over them. Refrigerator kept running and was loud. Musty smell when closed up. Swimming in front of house would be difficult due to variety of lake weeds. Last week in August the lake traffic was surprisingly quiet but still fun to watch water skiiers, sail boats and fishing.

Unbelievable location!

  • 4 of 5

We just returned from a vacation with two other couples and stayed at the Rustics Lakehouse. What a great experience! Some points about this location: the southern exposure means that for a good part of the day, the entire front lawn and dock is bathed in light. You'll see when you visit how rare this is and what a difference it makes. There are still some shade trees to make it comfortable for everyone, and as you sit on the deck or dock, the southwesterly summer breeze also keeps you cool and comfortable all day. Although the kitchen is a bit small, it is well laid out and we managed nicely. There is public boat ramp RIGHT across the lake that makes launching very convenient. The previous renters left a good deal of trash behind after the Saturday AM pick up had already happened but Bob accommodated us right away with a second pick up, so there was no problem. This is a gem and we will hope to return.

A great stay on Lake Bomoseen

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this Lake Bomoseen location. The house was very comfortable and the location was spectacular. It had a huge deck overlooking the full length of the lake where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning and our drinks in the afternoon. It also had a great fire ring that we enjoyed in the evening. The house was fully equipped as described in the listing. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful view, perfect Vermont lake adventure

  • 5 of 5

The view from the home is of the lake which is fully visible from the living, dining, lawn and dock areas. The lake presents to the front and to the right side, the left side is a towering peninsula cliff outcropping of rock which breaks the waves and adds to the beauty and ambience of the property. The home is very clean, well equipped and has plenty of space. A large deck expands the living space and affords guests additional options for dining/sunning in nice weather. The lawn leading to the water is neatly maintained, nicely landscaped and offers a large, beautiful stone fire pit for late night enjoyment. The dock provides ample opportunities for reading, feeding ducks, dangling feet into the water, climbing into kayaks etc. Definitely bring your canoe, kayak or paddleboard! Swimming is possible although it's fairly deep about 5-6 feet from shore and a bit weedy given the nature of the lake. Families with little ones might like to bring a wading pool or be prepared to closely monitor with flotation devices. Cell phone, cable and internet connections are outstanding; so no need to unplug if addicted. Take long walks or a run over the Float Bridge; convenience stores and restaurants are nearby. The owner was very responsive to our needs and quickly resolved any issue that arose. The property is nicely located, private and perfect for a small group. We had a really lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to rent again. Thank you for a great Bomoseen getaway! Julie

They location on the lake is perfect.

Convenient to the boat ramp, grocery, shopping, and restaurants. The fishing was great, and we're already planning which week for our stay next year!
