We went on a girls trip and it was wonderful. It is I more in Mccaysville than Blue Ridge but we had a grey time.
Everything was perfect
This was our best Thanksgiving ever! This place is so beautiful and comfortable. We will certainly be back! Thank you so much😊
Enjoyed our stay
Nice cabin. Just a couple of pointers for people looking to rent it though. I don't think I read the description thoroughly (always an issue when comparing a bunch of properties on VRBO / Airbnb) and the stream really isn't accessible from the cabin. It's at the bottom of a steep slope but I was the only one of the 4 in our party who was up for the climb down. Pity as it's a beautiful little stream. I was there the weekend before Thanksgiving, so it was dark early and cold in the evening, so we had to stay inside and it was a little tight with 4 people. There were only 3 chairs in the living area, though sleeping space for 4. If it was warmer, we could have used the outdoor space (nice big covered deck) and it wouldn't have been a problem, but in the Fall/Winter I'd say this is a one couple cabin.
We did have a tree fall across the private road (!!) but the owners got someone out to cut it out within 1.5 hours, which is pretty prompt when you consider the cabin is well off the beaten path.
I would go back again.
Wonderful, small cabin
We loved our time at the Fireside Retreat! The cabin is a bit small, though four could stay there comfortably. The grounds are beautiful.....wish I could have gotten to the river to do some fishing
The kitchen is well equipped though there are no spices, so bring what you need. The two wood burning fire places are amazing!! Bring your own wood!
Probably, the best thing of our trip was Nicole! She was so responsive with emails and texts, she got us a load of fire wood at a good price. I really appreciate what she did for us.
I will always try to reserve this cabin or one of Nicole's in the future
Money very well spent!
Couldn’t have asked for a better property and cabin on a much needed getaway weekend! Cabin is quaint and just right for a couple. The deck with the fireplace and hot tub was amazing. Nothing beats listening to the beautiful creek below while soaking in the hot tub in the evening with a crackling fire going. We woke up to deer in front of the cabin every morning and even had some in the near distance when we were soaking on the hot tub one evening. The quality along with the setting and the privacy make this cabin our new favorite! Highly recommended! We will come back!
Beautiful, secluded, and clean
Cabin was perfect for a weekend kid free escape! Everything was clean and bed was super cozy. We even saw a deer in the front yard our first morning while we drank our coffee. Cabin is off a gravel road but not far from everything if u wanted to go into town. Perfect for what we needed! We will be back!
