About Unique Stays
We are a family who enjoys hosting guests and making new friends working to make their stay with us comfortable, relaxing, convenient, and enjoyable. I (Amanda) am a stay-at-home mother with a background in teaching and special education. My husband (Fred) was a commercial lender for a small Regional Bank who left to pursue a more entrepreneurial path and now runs a commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance business. Together we have 5 young children (Chloe, Oliver, Alexa Kate, and Lily). As a family we enjoy spending time together learning, working, or playing (pool, trampoline, biking, or indoor rock climbing wall). Also we enjoy occasional travel to do active vacations rock climbing, caving, hiking, and camping as well as taking trips to see Grandpa's and Grandma's. We are a Christian family and on weekends we often are away with Church activities or short weekend trips to the ocean or the gulf or some other outdoor adventure. HOUSE RULES Updated 2020 By booking you agree that you have read & agree to comply with theserules. Failure could result in loss of your deposit and/or being asked to leavethe property: *Keep your stay discrete, you are our guests. Please respect the privacyof our neighbors. 1) Absolutely NO smoking, partying, or use of recreational or non-prescription drugs ANYWHERE on the property premises (up to $300 Cleaning & Deodorizing Fee if smoke or any illegal drug usage is detected in the unit) 2) No Pets or Animals 3) Please remove your shoes upon entering the house 4) No Parties or Events!! 5) Check-in is anytime after 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM unless stated otherwise. A Mandatory $50 fee for unauthorized “Overstay”. If “Overstay” exceeds two hours past checkout,guest is responsible for the Daily Base Rate (without discounts) & does not award you possession of the property for the day of “Overstay”. If guest wants to extend their stay (based upon availability), a new official booking will need to be made. If “Overstay” causes a future reservation to be refunded,guest is responsible for the full cost of reimbursement. 6) Quiet hours observed 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM Sunday-Thursday; 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM Friday & Saturday. 7) Minimum age of 25 to book 8) Smile! Motion detecting security cameras and recording devices are present on the exterior of the home for the purpose of guest safety and when applicable to assist in enforcing house rules. 9) Host bears no responsibilities for any accident, injuries, or illness that you may sustain during your stay. 10) Please keep all food and drinks in kitchen or dining areas (not near beds or furniture). 11) No parking on the street. Driveway parking only. 12) If the place is extra dirty, beyond the normal reasonable mess, beyond what a courteous guest would leave the home, there’s an extra $140 fee, to cover extra costs for cleaning. This includes if the walls are dirty, if the guests leave pots and pans in the kitchen sink, if the floor is stained ect. 13) If you have any undeclared guest (above what you booked for), there will be an additional charge of $100 per day booked per undeclared guest. 14) Only the person that made the reservation can check-in. You must have a valid working phone number before you book. If we try to contact you before check-in and are unable to, we can cancel the reservation without granting any refund. 15) For safety, security, & insurance purposes only Registered Guests are allowed onsite. All guests over 18 must be included in the Itinerary with a verified ID & photo. We reserve the right to askfor all guest names and ages for safety, insurance, and security purposes. Also guests must supply number of vehicles along with make, model, & license plate of the vehicles. 16) Local area guests must send a request prior to booking stating nature of visit. 17) Please report any stains immediately, we have a carpet cleaner (failure to may result in up to $250 fee Commercial cleaning). *If any portion of the House Rules are violated, it is grounds for immediate termination of the reservation without a refund. Violation of the Rules will also lead to immediate removal from the property otherwise guests will be considered trespassing. If you have a complaint about any aspect of the property or of the hosts or host’s personnel, and you tell us or your booking channel about it, you’re authorizing us to get into the property to fix the issue, to solve the problem, or to repair the home or clean it to the standards that you require. We do not need extra authorization to enter the property if there’s something you deem unsuitable, that needs remedy. Please take care of our things and notify us before leaving if something breaks. We really appreciate honesty. Accidents do happen, thus if you make a mess or spill please clean up after yourselves. Check Out: 1) Please leave the property as you found it. 2) Please make sure all dishes have been put in dishwasher and begin wash cycle 3) Please take all trash out to dumpsters which should be empty if trash was taken out the night prior to trash day. If there are no dumpsters present, please leave trash in the garage for pick-up. 4) Please hang dirty towels and no need to make beds as they will be stripped shortly upon leaving.All bedding must stay in room originally found. 5) Please make sure all TV remotes are returned to the basket, on the coffee table, or side table’s near the TV. 6) Please be kind to our Earth by turning off lights and closing all windows, sliding doors and blinds. 7) Please leave the property as you found it and leave furniture in its place. 8) Please set the heat to a high of 65 degrees and the air to a low of 75 degrees. 9) Please leave us a review!
