For the past two years my wife and I have stayed in the two bedroom suite at the Beachouse Villa with some friends for a week in July. We have a great time visiting wineries all over the Okanagan valley, including several just minutes from the Beachouse. We also very much enjoy lounging in the sun on the private patio/grass area, with frequent trips down the steps to the beach for dips in the lake. This year we tried a short hike in the nearby Spion Kop area, which led to an amazing view down the valley towards Kelowna. We also drove out to Myra Canyon to bike the trestle bridges of the old Kettle Valley railway. What an experience! The Lake Country area is much less busy, and much more relaxing, than downtown Kelowna, which is great for us. We thoroughly enjoy our time at the Beachouse - thanks Garry & Jacqueline!
My husband and I, with our adult Son, stayed here for 9 days in August this year. We were very impressed with the property: the location was fantastic with amazing views of Lake Okanagan; the apartment was very roomy, clean, and stocked with most things imaginable; and Garry the host was very friendly, accommodating, and available yet non obtrusive. We would love to come back and stay, and would recommend it to anyone needing accommodation in the Okanagan.
My only complaint is the absence of a washer and dryer - visiting from Australia we needed to keep our luggage to a minimum so needed to wash during the 9 days we were there. There is a laundromat not too far away but visiting a laundromat on your holiday is not really the best use of one's time.
I am very pleased we found you Garry, and hopefully we will meet again one day.
This was an excellent place to stay, ideal position, great accommodation and an attentive but unobtrusive host. We were so pleased with the great view of the lake and the close proximity of the Grey Monk Winery. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with utensils.
In the last 4 years we have rented the 2 bedroom suite 3 times for our family. We like the vacation property and location so much that we brought friends with us this year. They rented the 1 bedroom unit, so we were close to each other and yet had our own privacy. Not only is the vacation property clean, well-equipped and kept in good repair, the view is spectacular. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. We especially like dining on the outside patio and it is a treat when Garry has his music on. In this setting you don’t have to get on a plane to feel like you are at a fancy resort.
When not in the lake, visiting the vineyards, or in the lake, we can be found on the patio. As said above, the view of the surroundings is wonderful. The property is so close to the lake and yet the patio is very private to the public due to the well-landscaped property. We definitely will return and recommend this property to those who like to be on a lake setting and yet not too far from the city activities.
We’ve spent many years vacationing in the Okanagan and the Beachouse Villa is the best location so far, close to Kelowna and Vernon, winery’s, golfing and any amenity you could want. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit and made good use of their buoy on the lake for our boat. The set up was perfect for us, lots of parking, great views, great patio for sitting and BBQing, beach area right out in front, easy to keep an eye on the boat and easy getting out on the water. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms had lots of room. There was lots of floor space for all our beach and boat stuff and the tile flooring in the main areas was great (didn’t worry about tracking in dirt). It was great to have the cafe down the street to walk to and enjoy their great food and drinks. With 32-36 celcius weather air conditioning was much appreciated, we would have roasted at night without air conditioning.
The absolute best thing about our stay though, without a doubt, was the owner’s hospitality. They are fantastic people, we had a great time drinking wine with Garry and Jacqueline on the patio (with the vacationers in the one bedroom unit) and enjoyed many great conversations during our stay. We can't say enough about how much we appreciated all their help when our truck decided to crap out two days before we were to leave.
Took the boat into Kelowna to fix a small problem and towing it back the truck died, when Garry heard this he said I’ll be there in ten minutes. He not only towed our boat back but he launched it the next day. Then we were told the truck needed a part ordered that would not come in until after the long weekend. Garry quickly offered to store all our stuff (golf clubs, coolers, beach stuff, etc.) since we were now without a vehicle, but had to check out the next day (we had friends come and get us). Then he suggested we leave our boat on his buoy and enjoy the lake for a few more days. When the people who checked in after us needed the buoy Garry said why don’t we just store your boat on our driveway until you get your truck back. This was much appreciated as now we were staying in a hotel and we had a boat stolen from a hotel parking lot a few years back (even while being all locked up).
We can't say enough about what a great place the Beachouse Villa is and what great people Garry and Jacqueline are. There is nothing we could say that would adequately thank them for everything so we'll let our 6 stars out of 5 say it for us. Thanks Garry & Jacqueline!
We had a great stay here. It's an adorable sleepy community in the every crowded Okanagon. The view of the water and marina are priceless, and the availability of the outdoor space and BBQ add so much to this property. The suite has everything you will need for a great stay- except a washer and dryer. Our family of 5 all had great sleeps and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Garry was a wonderful and attentive host. Definitely on our 'go back' list. Thank you so much!
