About Marjorie Davidson
I am an outdoorsy adventurous person and absolutely love living in this rural area that offers so much natural beauty and so many outdoor experiences. I like providing this opportunity for people to relax and enjoy their holidays. I grew up in a small local rural community and have spent a lot of time in the mountains at work and at play.
Marjorie Davidson purchased this House in 1991
Why Marjorie Davidson chose Taghum
For several reasons, firstly because it has a creek running through the property and I love being near water. It is located a short 15 minute drive from Nelson and because the house is of post & beam construction with many windows throughout it.

Older home. Backside of house faces street and doesn't look particularly attractive, so we were a little nervous when we first pulled up to the house. Fortunately the other side of house facing the backyard is much more attractive and the Japanese style architecture is apparent. Woodwork is quite worn, but house was very clean. Bathroom recently remodeled with great shower. Two bedrooms with queen beds which is nice for two couples. Woodstove worked well. Lots of windows. Comfortable living area for lounging.
Cozy private home
This little house was very clean and had every amenity that you could want. The property was absolutely beautiful and very private. We would definitely stay there again
Loved the cabin
The creekside cabin was wonderful, loved the location, just outside Nelson, quiet but close enough. Marjorie keeps the place very clean and she was great to work with. Had deer in the back in the morning and amazing night sky with stars and the listening to the creek while relaxing in the hot tub. the 2 bedrooms were very comfortable for me my wife and our daughter.
Great house and property!
We had a great time! Beautiful grounds and charming house. The location was perfect. Lovely owner.
Tranquil spot for a lovely getaway
A great spot close to town but feels like you’re out in the country. Love the yard and hot tub!
Crystal and her partner were excellent guests. They took care of the house, followed the guidelines and communication was good. I would happily host them again.
Nature and location
Wonderful location near Nelson. Marjorie was a wonderful host who addressed our questions timely. Truly enjoyed the open floor plan and all of the windows to watch nature and listen to the near by creek. The cabin was comfortable and cozy. Our two teens enjoyed exploring the the grounds and relaxing. Plenty of room for the four of us. Highly encourage hiking at the nearby Mouring Mountain Park as well as the Kokanee Glacier -- well worth the drive.
In the winter there are two ski hills both within a 45 minute drive. In the summer there is lots of hiking, swimming, kayaking on the many lakes.
