THE SPACE:

*The home itself is classic heritage style fully decorated with elegant fashionable furniture. The pictures do tell the story of this home.

*The beds in the space are luxurious and new, great for a restful sleep.

*The kitchen boasts a gas range, large full size fridge, coffee maker, dish washer, microwave, toaster and all cooking supplies.

*The location is perfect whether its a trip for business, leisure or family/friend visits. It is a vibrant community for the arts, music, nature and food culture. We are short distance walk along the Bow River, interesting attractions, the zoo and 9th Ave SE which is also renowned for it's unique shops, dining places and music venues. About five minutes away from Calgary Downtown Core, Saddledome (home of Calgary Flames), and Calgary Stampede Grounds.

GUEST ACCESS:

*We make every effort to meet our guests to give them a tour of the house and establish a sense of security and comfort amongst each other.

*Guests will have access to the whole house except the utility room, outdoor storage and garage. Laundry is enclosed within the utility room.

*Guests can use laundry once a week if the stay is a week or more. If you need access to laundry but the length of stay is less than a week, communicate with the host prior to booking.

*A fire pit is also available in the backyard and we stress safety when guests are inclined to light a bonfire.

*Spacious back yard and deck.

*Parking is through the front cul de sac or through the back lane which allows parking for up to 4 cars with one covered stall.

*We live nearby the area. Guests are more than welcome to text or email for any questions regarding their stay.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

*Inglewood bears the distinction of being Calgary's oldest neighbourhood, having been established adjacent to Fort Calgary in 1875. The development of 9 Ave. S.E. (formerly named Atlantic Avenue) became the city of Calgary’s first authentic main street. Originally known as East Calgary or Brewery Flats, the community was not officially given the name 'Inglewood' until 1911, when it was named after the nearby homestead established by Col. James Walker.

Today, Inglewood is a vibrant, eclectic and ever-evolving arts and culture-filled district with more than 100 shops, boutiques and eateries attracting locals and tourists alike.

The community is also home to the Calgary Zoo, Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Bow Habitat Station, Inglewood Wildlands Park and the Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery.

GETTING AROUND

*A block away from a bus stop.

*Easy access to major thoroughfares (Deerfoot Trail, Blackfoot Trail, Macleod Trail, Memorial Drive) to get in and out of the city. Day trips to places such as Banff, Lake Louise, Sunshine Ski Resort, Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, Waterton Lakes National Park to name a few can be a way to experience our beautiful country.

Great location, accommodating hosts

We had a very enjoyable stay in this clean, sweet bungalow. Easy to catch a quick bus into the city and plenty to do right nearby. We walked to the zoo and the bird sanctuary from the home. The owners were very prompt with communication and happy to answer any questions we had. It was nice to have supplies such as paper towels, soap, shampoo, etc. provided for us.

Secluded cottage in Inglewood

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious two-level cottage in the oldest part of Calgary with a young population. The house provided us generously with the amenities we needed including a fast wi-fi connection. There were additional sleeping facilities in the pleasantly cool basement. The upstairs too maintained a pleasant temperature even on hot days. The house and its spacious patio are surrounded by trees and shrubs and there is convenient private parking in the back. Even though some busy traffic (and good bus connection to downtown) is not far away, the house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with negligible nearby traffic. The very attractive foot path along the Bow River is within walking distance. The owners, Robert and Christy, were very prompt in responding to any requests and intent on making our stay as pleasant as possible.

Great house in Calgary

Located in Inglewood, this house has charm! We loved the location near the bike/trail system as well as a few minutes drive from downtown Calgary. Robert and Christy have a lovely home. We felt welcomed and the fenced yard for our dogs was a bonus!

They did a very good job of renovating this house. The house was everything that we needed. Comfortable beds and the area was quit. It is very close to down town and all the shops 9th has to offer. We enjoyed our stay very much
