About Patricia Taverner-Peck

I am originally from the UK, but have now made Winston-Salem my home where I find all the things I most enjoy: history in Old Salem (which reminds me of an English country village), the arts - great theaters, galleries, UNCSA and Reynolda House; super restaurants and bakeries catering for all tastes (some of my favorites are The Tavern in Old Salem, The West End Cafe and Mozelle's); wonderful trees and flowers and countryside; super friendly people; trips to wineries, state parks, skiing all within a couple of hours, and easy road trips further afield to the coast or other cities and states. I hope you will enjoy staying in my beautiful, sunny house ... I have tried to think of all that I would like to find in a vacation rental. I lived in West Salem when I first moved to Winston-Salem, and thoroughly enjoyed the area, walking my dogs in Old Salem and Washington Park, making my way downtown on the lovely, shady Strollway, enjoying the arts at UNCSA, and visiting all the nearby coffee shops and restaurants.

Why Patricia Taverner-Peck chose Winston-Salem

I lived in this beautiful house for a few months when I first moved to Winston-Salem and fell in love with the area being so close to Old Salem, downtown and some great parks. It is a super cute house, very stylishly renovated and has a very welcoming, comfortable vibe.

What makes this House unique

I love to sit on the front porch with a book and enjoy the breeze, and in the summer the flowering crape myrtle trees are quite lovely.

The home was very clean and neatly decorated with a modern design. Owner thought of everything, from a well designed welcome book to a Bluetooth speaker for music to plenty of towels to a very nice welcome basket including wine. There were even little decorative notes pointing out things you may need to know such as where a power switch is. Overall a fantastic experience!

You had us with the luxurious beds, but the wine, coffee and even half and half was over the top. We travel to the area regularly to see our son's theatre productions at UNCSA and will consider this our Winston-Salem home!

                                                              Owner's Response:

Thank you, Gayle, for your great review, and for leaving my home so clean and tidy :) I look forward to welcoming you back for your son’s future UNCSA events!

                                                              Everything we expected!

                                                              Lissette G.Old Greenwich

It was phenomenal, super cute and with the most comfortable beds!!! Ms. Patricia was so nice, she reminded us every step of the way of due dates, and up to the night before we arrived she made sure to ask if we had any questions. Will rent again.

                                                              Owner's Response:

Thank you, Lissette, for your lovely review! I look forward to being your host again :)

Best stocked and most welcoming VRBO we've stayed in.

                                                              George W.

Our family has stayed in VRBO properties around the world and this one was the most welcoming. It starts with the easy check-in instructions and continues with the well-stocked kitchen and bathroom. Everything is clean and functions well. There are many niceties, too many to list, but the presence of fresh milk, coffee, and breakfast foods are a definite plus. If you are a few people who need to stay in Winston-Salem for a few days, this is probably your best option.

                                                              Owner's Response:

I am so pleased you found my home to be extra welcoming, George. I try to think of all the amenities I would like to find in a home when traveling, and am thrilled when I hear that my additional touches are well appreciated :)

                                                              Very comfortable and convenient

                                                              Ruth G.-

We spent a weekend at this lovely house, and only wish we'd had more time to enjoy it! The owner has thought of everything you might want (she even stocks the refrigerator and the pantry). The front and back porches are especially nice for relaxing outdoors.

                                                              Owner's Response:
