Romantic hideaways don’t get more delightful than Woodsong. Tucked among towering old-growth trees overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains, it’s a petite delight packed with plenty of comforts. And despite its private, away-from-it-all setting, it’s just a 10-minute drive to the restaurants, shops, and attractions of downtown Gatlinburg.
Woodsong is decorated in timeless, elegant mountain style. Two oversize leather recliners offer a perfect vantage point for watching a movie on the flat-panel TV with cable and a DVD player or for gazing out the windows at the woodlands. The stone-surround wood-burning fireplace casts a golden glow on the lustrous wood floors in winter, and in summer the ceiling fan adds a refreshing breeze.
Because of Woodsong’s proximity to downtown, you have a vast array of restaurants to choose from: a steakhouse one night, a fish eatery the next, barbecue or pizza the night after. But for true romance, it’s difficult to beat a quiet dinner for 2 at home. The stools at the breakfast bar might remind you of a charming Parisian bistro, and the fully equipped kitchen means you can channel your inner Julia Child and create a multicourse feast if you’d like. Then again, even grilled cheese is romantic when enjoyed with the right person!
Thanks to the cabin’s open layout you’ll be able to watch TV and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace even while propped up on the queen-size bed’s pillows. Woodson has free WiFi as well, perfect for planning your next day’s adventures.
While Woodson's plentiful windows let you admire the scenery from indoors, the best spot for enjoying the sights and sounds of nature is the deck’s hot tub. Take a dip in the morning while chickadees and wrens serenade you; savor a moonlit soak late at night as owls croon a lullaby. And after a day of hiking, biking, white-water rafting, skiing, or exploring Dollywood, there’s nothing like a session in the hot tub to sooth your tired muscles and give you a second wind.
When you’re not relishing your time alone together among the beauty and comforts of Woodsong, you’ll find plenty to see and do just a short drive away. If you’re visiting in the summer, you’ll have free access to the nearby swimming pool, where you can relax on a poolside chaise when you’re not cooling off in the water. The cabin is also close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can hike among waterfalls, fish for trout, go biking or horseback riding… why, you could easily spend every day of your stay exploring the park! And let’s not forget the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops offering everything from stained glass to chainsaw art, custom knives to pottery; Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area; golf; white-water rafting; Dollywood and more.
Woodsong truly is a gem of a cabin, offering privacy, beauty, comfort, and convenience in a petite package. See for yourself—book your stay today!

Clean and good location.
We enjoyed our weekend vacation.
Very nice cabin. Fit for a small getaway for a couple. Really enjoyed the fireplace.
Overall the cleaning could’ve been a little better. There were still dust on the ceilings in the bathroom and above the fireplace. I looked on other reviews before booking and the bed was the other complaint. The bed wasn’t not as bad as I was expecting considering all the bad reviews. I really enjoyed the fireplace. I had a fire every night of my stay. Will be back to JMH for more trips to Gatlinburg.

Wonderful experience will use you again!
The cabin is absolutely beautiful!
Loved my stay- cause it was my honeymoon. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The bed is horriblely hard. Made our backs hurt. (Keep in mind we are in our early 20's Took house keeping until almost 7 to bring us new sheets. When I called at 3:08 While the comforter was IN A BALL, with the other blanket an pillows?? That was suppose to be clean?? (They said) To me didn't appear it because usually clean means folded. Called said they'd come and have new sheets and make the bed. No they brought in a bag an handed it to me. The cabin allows dog. We didn't bring ours. Very clean and well kept... I thought until I was leaving and decided to sweep the floor. And got a whole pan of BLACK DOG HAIR. The cabin in its self id love to go back to. But needs some more cleaning and better judgment. They spent more money on the recliners then the bed.. I LOVED THE RECLINERS THO!

Needed alittle more attention to detail on cleaning.
I loved the area very quiet and loved the pool area and club house, also great area for walking felt safe. The only issues I had was some higher areas needed more attention on cleaning with cobwebs and a lot of little black particles on ledge behind recliners (I cleaned that up myself). I did not use the hot tub due to a lot of spider webs on deck, but did use the pool everyday, which was very clean and well maintained.
Debbie, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We appreciate your feed back and we have shared with housekeeping your comments. We hope you will stay with us again on your next trip to the Smokies, giving us the opportunity to meet all expectations.
