Overview

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8

As you’d expect from a cabin named Fireside View, the mountain vistas surrounding this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home are spectacular. But that’s not the only thing Fireside View has going for it. The spacious 2-level home sleeps up to 8 people in comfort and style, includes amenities such as a hot tub and a pool table, and is just 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Who says you can’t have it all?!

Each of the 2 stories has its own master bedroom, and each master bedroom includes a king-size bed, an electric fireplace (so toasty!), a flat-panel TV, and a full bath. The wood paneling and rustic furniture are just what you’d hope for in a mountain cabin—as are the views outside the French doors that lead directly onto a deck. You can slip outside first thing in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the Great Smoky Mountains without waking up anyone else, or you can enjoy after-dinner drinks in the moonlight before slipping off to bed. And because the bedrooms are on separate floors for more privacy, Fireside View is a great choice for two couples vacationing together as well as for a family.

The lower-level deck does have one advantage over the upper deck: a hot tub. After hours on the slopes, the links, or the hiking trail, you (and your tired muscles!) will relish a steamy, restorative soak. Then again, why wait? You can climb into the tub as soon as you arrive at Fireside View: It will already have been emptied, sanitized, and refilled just for you!

The lower level has more delights indoors. There’s a pool table, for starters—that’s something you won’t find just anywhere! The game room also has a gas fireplace, a flat-panel TV with cable, including Showtime, and amply cushioned sofas you’ll love sinking into, whether it’s to watch a double feature, take advantage of the free WiFi to surf the web, flip through magazines, or simply stare out and admire the view of the Smoky Mountains once again. One of the couches opens into a bed for 2; if you’re traveling with the kids, they may want to commandeer this room as their own!

There’s yet another TV in the upstairs living room (Fireside View has 4 TVs in all—no squabbling over what to watch!), as well as another gas fireplace, and more French doors that let you admire the mountains and the towering trees from the plush sofa or the roomy armchair. If you’re visiting in autumn, you’re really in for a treat—the foliage is spectacular. Of course, the leafy trees are gorgeous in spring and summer too, and in winter the snow capped mountains are stunning… really, there’s no bad time to stay at Fireside View! By the way, the living room sofa also converts into a bed for 2; the more the merrier!

Because Fireside View is only 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants. You can indulge in barbecue one night and seafood the next, head to a steakhouse the third evening and a pizza parlor the fourth. But if you prefer to eat at home, you’ll find everything you need here. Not only does the dining table easily seat 6 people, but there’s also room for 2 more at the kitchen’s breakfast bar. As for the kitchen itself, it’s equipped with just about every appliance you could want, from oven/stove and microwave to coffeemaker, blender, and toaster. And since no one wants to waste precious vacation time scrubbing plates, there’s a dishwasher too. Fireside View even has a charcoal grill—there’s nothing so delicious as fresh-caught trout grilled outdoors!

Because the cabin is part of the Black Bear Falls Log Home Community, you have access to the resort’s heated adult and children’s swimming pools, which are open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. After your swim you can loll on a poolside chaise—don’t forget the sunscreen!

There are so many reasons to make Fireside View home base for your next vacation. So don’t miss out: Reserve your spot today!

Beautiful spacious home with beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time at Fireside View. Nicely appointed home close enough to the action but far enough away to be peaceful and quite.

Beautiful view and plenty of room for our group

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is in a sweet neighborhood with a fantastic view and still close enough to the grocery to make shopping easy. We were here for an AAU basketball tournament and we're 10 minutes away from where we needed to be!

Great View and Convenient to Downtown Gatlinburg

  • 4 of 5

Great Views and very clean and well cared for. There were a few things I'd suggest to make the stay seem worth the expense:

1. Replace the Living Room Couch and Chair - not very comfortable, and the Chair has a shelving rack to keep it from sinking in.

2. Pods for the Dishwasher would be nice. Hand washing wasn't a huge chore, but instructions said to put the dishes in the dishwasher, and start, when we leave... Had to hand-wash instead.

3. Wash the upper windows - the dirt on them creates a glare that intrudes on the otherwise very nice view.

It looked like the picture

  • 4 of 5

The closeness to the city and store was great and the drive up the cabin wasn't so bad. Definitely had enough space for everyone.
