Sunny TERRACE in St Germain des Pres

The apartment was clean. The AC worked well. The fridge was not very cold, and there was no way to make ice. We had issues with temperature regulation in the shower. We were told that it would be fixed, but it was not. The property is in a nice area - close to the metro, shopping, and restaurants. The host was very kind. Be prepared for the steps!

This apartment was everything I hoped for in Paris with my 10 year old granddaughter!! It is in the best neighborhood that is so quintessionally Left Bank Parisian!! Back streets and alleyways of cafes, markets, specialty shops and the chatty conversations of people watching over cups of coffee and croissants! We LOVED our private outdoor roof garden for sitting and relaxing after long days of sightseeing and shopping!! The apartment has everything you need; and all is up to date and working beautifully!! Theirry, the owner was always responsive and helpful and courteous! We always felt super safe in the neighborhood and the building!! We loved it and can't wait to return!! Only one caution; if you are not able to do stairs, you have 84 steps to go up and down to the apartment!! I'm 66 and didn't mind it at all, and we made a game of counting them as we headed up to our tower every day!! The rooftop garden looking out over our favorite Left Bank Paris neighborhood made the steps up so worth it!!!

Most of all, we loved the location of the property. There was also everything we needed: bathroom, shower, blow drier, small kitchen, coffee pot, (but a new one is needed since it kept a turning off before finished) and a small refrigerator. It is quite a hike going up the steps, so if you aren’t in good shape, do not book this spot. The place can definitely use updated decor inside and on the little balcony.

Also, there were workers (very friendly tho!) that were sanding and painting up and down the steps all week. It was quite dusty and this did end up in our room.

As in the title, the apartment is fabulous, clean, spacious for one, comfortable for 2, good kitchen, hot shower with pressure, and a lovely balcony. I stayed for 6 nights and could have stayed much longer. The 84 stairs are a bit of an issue, but tolerable. The location is in a buzzy neighbourhood, lots of restaurants, and easy to walk to everything. Odeon metro stop is a stone's throw for everything you don't want to walk to.
