Come and experience our spacious Alpine retreat in the forest known as Red Timber Lodge. We fondly call her, 'Logzilla’, our chalet on the Hill.
With no shortage of curb appeal, The Red Timber lodge sits on over 1/3 of an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds. A meandering path winds around the lodge surrounded by Maple, Aspen and massive Jeffry Pines.
From a generous redwood deck walkway, enter the massive timber front porch that begs for an early morning coffee or afternoon tea and a book in the hammock. Welcoming wood doors open to a stunning two-story cathedral ceiling. A spacious great room with 12 massive windows, 20 feet above greet you and offer morning sun, bright naturally lit afternoons and star viewing at night. Don't forget the wood-burning fireplace and floor to ceiling rock chimney to warm family and friends when the chill outside sets in.
Devour the fully stocked chef's kitchen which includes a brand new suite of high-end stainless steel appliances. Gather at the island for conversation and coffee, spread out at the breakfast bar, or sit for dining at the large woodsy table with bear and claw carved chairs adorn with a spectacular antler chandelier above that is surrounded by forest-view windows.
The bar tucked beneath a massive timber log suggests libations and appetizers to draw out the day’s adventures,
Shoot a round of pool or play a few hands of poker in a warm game loft overlooking the great room with a surround sound a/v theater and a crackling wood-burning fireplace,
Retire or lounge in your choice of two grand master suites – one upstairs, large enough to be it's own mini-retreat including a rock-clad wood-burning fireplace at the foot of the bed and two tree lined balconies - both with sprawling bathrooms, views of the forest and jetted Jacuzzi tubs,
Tuck into the snug and cozy bunkroom that will bring out the kid in all,
Bed-down in the warm whimsical cowboy bedroom that overlooks the backyard garden and forest,
Not ready for that yet? Sink into the sofa and chairs of the great room, light a fire and watch with family and friends your choice of an array of entertainment offered through various streaming venues on an impressive flat screen and surround-sound system that rivals any.
Relax or dine on the back deck that demands a festive BBQ or cocktail hour,
Last but not least, and only steps from the back deck, cap it all off in the body-and-soul soothing hot tub and deck surrounded by vanilla scented Jeffrey Pines under the stars. You just can't go wrong here!
On a side note, if you must stay connected to the outside world the lodge is well equipped with Wi-Fi and for those that remember the old days, there’s even a landline telephone!
A short brisk walk or bike ride has you arriving at the base of Snow Summit within minutes for your adventurous day on our four-season mountain! Switch it up and ride to or hop on the Inter-Mountain Ski Shuttle to Bear Mountain for a variety of four season activities. Check event schedules for both as there is always something going on.

The invaluable knowledge and compassion you'll gain will leave you excited to return again and again, especially when their new and improved zoo opens in 2018.
Warm up your swing and play 9 holes of golf at our alpine course tucked in the woods.
For the warm summer days, the lake is a five-minute drive. Boat, swim, ski, ride, paddleboard, kayak or just soak up the high altitude sun!
Or simply stay put and flop around the Red Timber Lodge...snuggle up with a book, a blanket, and a roaring fire in one of our many cozy nooks...or create a masterpiece meal in the well equipped kitchen that happens to have a flurry of squirrels, blue jays, woodpeckers, and bunnies right outside the bay window!
