A great stay
This was a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Very much away from it all, but close enough to town. Easy and fast communication and owner was more than willing to accommodate and help with any concerns I had. Bed was comfortable, cute decorations, easy check in and it had anything we needed.
As others have said there is some noise from upstairs, but it was minimal.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Quiet country setting
Apartment is exactly as advertised. It is a first story apartment in a two story home. The surrounding area is lovely and green and it is on a quiet road that is safe to walk on as I did every evening I was there. I stayed for a full week (Sunday PM to Saturday AM) at a time when there were folks using the main house. My one caution is that if you are a light sleeper (and I am when in unfamiliar lodgings) you should consider ear plugs. While I know that the people using the main house were being very considerate, there simply is no way for the floor overhead not to make noise. You will hear folks walking on the floor above. Having said that, I would stay here again. The kitchen is more than adequate (I used all the appliances), the bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water. The furniture was comfortable. Overall a very cozy nice place to stay and,in my opinion so much nicer than a hotel/motel.
This place is great. Clean and located in a beautiful and quite location. The bed is very comfortable. The wifi works good. The owner is very nice and responds to messages promptly. I would stay here again in a heat beat.
In the Heart of the Woods
This is basically a basement apartment, and was not up to the standard of VRBOs I have stayed in before. No network TV channels were available, just Netflix via the Wi-Fi. The only cooling was a portable unit located in the bedroom. A loud pumping noise occured whenever the toilet was flushed or when taking a shower. Furnished with very old furniture. It is located in a beautiful setting in rural Tennessee, and with easy access to Nashville.
I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay in our guest apartment. We immediately accommodated every request you had, including how to work the TV, bringing you an extra bedside lamp, and explaining to you how to use the air conditioning unit. As our listing states, it is a fully autonomous furnished one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, eat in dining area, living room, bedroom, and full bathroom. There are two sets of French doors that lead into the apartment which flood it with natural light. The apartment was newly constructed in October 2017 with new wood floors, paint, molding, cabinets and butcher block countertops. We have hand selected each antique piece in the house including a 100 year old oak dining table, as well as many other touches. As you stated, we are out in the beautiful countryside on a gorgeous property yet close enough to be only a short drive into Nashville. However, because we are out in the country, as stated in our VRBO listing, we are only able to offer Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video for television. Also as stated in the listing, because we are on a septic system out in the country, our guest apartment works on a water evacuation pump, which we tell you you will hear working when flushing the toilet or using running water. Again, I’m truly sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We have had wonderfully positive feedback from past guests.
Peaceful country retreat
Great value and amazing remote retreat. Easy access to many cool towns and amazing country roads. I highly recommend this little gem.
This is an apartment in the main home, not a stand alone guest house.
I read the information several times, and since it was called a "guest house" throughout, I was expecting a stand alone, separate from the main house, guest house. Rather, it's a walk-out lower level apartment, with the home's bonus room above; at times it sounded like either a herd of elephants above my head or a roller skating rink. The Apple TV requires internet and the internet service was very sketchy, at times slower than dial-up. I also didn't see a DVD player. I went looking for a peaceful, quiet, weekend retreat to read, study, and rest and this was not a place for that. I left a day early because I was so disappointed.
