About JP Bader
My name is JP, and I love to host! Chicago is my kind of town, with great music, food, theater, and of course, the Cubs! My family and I take advantage of our city and we are super happy to help if you have any questions about finding the best coffee, pizza, or Argentinian steak house. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, play the piano and accordion in my band, run with my dog, cook, and meet new people.
JP Bader purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why JP Bader chose Lake View
We bought our home because we love the Lakeview neighborhood. The area is ideal because we are so close to the Brown Line, Wrigley Field, the lakefront, and myriad theaters and restaurants, it's hard not to want to be here! The house sits on a wider lot, which gives our house a bigger feel. We loved the gardening, the layout, and the space.
What makes this Apartment unique
For us, we fell in love with the kitchen and roof-top deck, both of which hit at two of our passions: cooking and our city. The neighbors are fantastic, and the wide stoop often means we sit out front with the children, dogs, bubbles and chalk, and get to greet everyone who goes by!

great location, good thing we had family nearby!
It suited our needs mostly. 1. the dryer trap was filthy, and wash didn't have a spinner, so laundry was soaked coming out of wash. 2. One night we had a guest for dinner, making us a party of 7...no chair available for this guest. 3. lightbulbs out in most rooms. 4. other than the queen bed. other beds were extremely uncomfortable. 5. had to park 0.4 miles away. Once again, the location was great, just wish above weren't issues.
Great location in lovely neighborhood.
My sister, cousin and I just spent 5 nights at JP’s property and it was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom, and the living room was spacious and conducive to conversation. The large windows look out onto a beautiful tree lined residential street, and a half a block away, there are restaurants and many different different types of stores. Downtown is a short taxi/Lyft/Uber ride away, and we loved being able to go do our sightseeing and then come back to a quieter neighborhood. The neighborhood is quiet but very friendly; we were wrestling with a suitcase, and a passerby stopped to help; we met many of the neighborhood dogs and children as well as their parents. JP was an excellent host, answering all our questions quickly. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved the location. We parked Friday night and didn't have to move our vehicle until we left on Monday. We have 3 4 years olds and a 3 month old and we could easily walk to everything Wrigley! Property manager was very accessible. House was clean with plenty of amenities! We will absolutely stay the again.
Very nice stay! Recommend!
Great location and spacious apartment
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was a quick walk to Wrigley Field, the Brown Line, shops/restaurants on Southport, etc. and it was a great home base for the many things we wanted to do in Chicago. Our two kids also enjoyed having their own bedrooms. Cornelia is a nice block, and for us it was much more fun to stay in this apartment than it would have been in a big hotel. We would definitely stay there again at a future visit.
Wonderful neighborhood. Great location for a family getaway
Super easy to set up. Property manager answered all of our questions right away.
