About the property

Gallatin Riverfront log cabin, 5 bedroom, 4 bath with mountain/ River views

A river really does run through it! The San Marino cabins have a private location on the Gallatin River with views of Porcupine Ridge. Listen to the murmur of the Gallatin River whether you are playing poker, chess, foosball in the loft, reading by a 12 foot River rock fireplace in the living room, taking a hot soak in the 6 person jacuzzi, or waking up from a nap. The cabin's unbeatable location offers a quintessential spot for a large group fly fishing, skiing, hiking, golf, river rafting, or just a girl's weekend away.

Base camp to everything Montana:

1. Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin is the "biggest skiing in America," located 20 minutes away.

On the main floor, your view of the River from the living room, dining area, kitchen affords a comfortable Great room for all to gather. The main floor also has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The riverfront master bedroom opens to the wood deck and jacuzzi. The River murmur lulls you to sleep as well as gently awakening you from slumber.

The open loft bedroom is separated from the main loft area by a full bathroom. The panoramic views of the River and mountains afforded by the floor to ceiling Windows in the loft make it a scenic view while playing foosball, poker, chess, and various other board games stocked in the cabin. Dish Network TV and DVD player for those relaxing on the leather couch and recliner in the loft.

About Vivian

We are a California beach family with roots in Wyoming and Texas.

Vivian purchased this cabin in 2016

Why Vivian chose Yellowstone Country

Our family vacationed in this cabin for over a week and fell in love with just about everything Montana offers. We frequent the Colorado, Utah, and California slopes, but nothing compares to Big Sky's powder. Summer vacations in Hawaii and the Carribean now pale in comparison to the peacefulness of fly fishing on the Gallatin and Madison Rivers.

What makes this cabin unique

Riverfront cabin with blue ribbon trout fishing steps outside the backdoor. The minute you walk into the cabin, the river murmur will beckon you.

Majestic views and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful place, we had eight adults and an infant and we were extremely comfortable. The house is in a beautiful location in Big Sky and it's a beautiful drive to Yellowstone or Bozeman. I can't say enough, we definitely want to go back.

Awesome family retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful home the week before our wedding in Big Sky. During this amazing week, three generations of our family lived, played, hot tubbed, and bonded around the living room fireplace in a way we haven't done in years. The games upstairs were very popular with the kids, the TV room downstairs was a nice bonus, and the main living area comfortably hosted our family meals. Other things that blew everyone away were the spectacular views of the mountain ranges, the wildlife wandering around, and the perfect location. By far the favorite place in the house was the hot tub. Every morning and evening we all raced out to the deck to jump in the tub, listen to the river running by and make memories that will last a lifetime. The small details and special amenities in this home are too many to count and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Not only was this an amazing place to stay, the property managers and owners were available to our requests 24hrs a day and enjoyable to work with. Thank you!

Outstanding cabin! Fantastic view!!

  • 5 of 5

This amazing, beautiful cabin includes everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the beauty and the sound of the Gallatin River that runs along the back of the property. We appreciated the access to white water rafting and ziplining nearby and the short, scenic drive to Yellowstone National Park. You can stop searching for a place to stay... This is it!

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed this August 2017 and had a great time, great to stay on the river, peaceful. The cabin is very nice although the kitchen is very small for a large group like ours of 12 same with the bathrooms small, but overall a very nice place.

Myself and all my friends with me just thought it was the most wonderful experience. The cabin was well appointed, everything that you needed was there and we thought the surrounding scenery was as good as it can get. With a wonderful Riverhouse restaurant just a block away, Mountain resort close by, and of course the wonderful national parks only an hour away, it was the complete vacation experience. I would not hesitate to come back again. The only suggestion I would make is put the Dumpster combination in the guidebook so it would be more apparent. Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Thank you so much.
