About the property

2 Br, 2.5 bath Townhome near beach and pool. Great place for families !

Very Family Friendly and comfortable! We are the first building in Cassine Garden and an end unit for more space and quiet ! Mom and Dad, we're only 200 yards to the beach and an even shorter distance to one of the two pools. So the location is ideal for families challenged folks as well !

Located on Scenic Highway 30-A, our townhouse community is a 'lost treasure', nestled in a cypress grove with a serene fishing pond and fountain, with covered pavilion, picnic tables and a grill by the pond for individual or family outings! So bring your fishing pole, your favorite reading material and relaxation mode!

Two pools, tennis courts, and nature and bike trails, and a short 'cross the street' access to the beach make it the perfect place to be. There are marked hiking trails beside the community for hiking enthusiasts. And for those who like to bike, two adult bikes have been added for your use! The bike path/lane extends from one end of 30A to the other.

Guests LOVE having the two bedrooms each with private bath on the MAIN floor, so you don't have to wrestle with luggage up the steps! Great closet space as well, a tv in every bedroom, ceiling fan, and no sharing a bathroom ! Bedrooms are furnished with 'heavenly' Sealy Posterpedic beds for your restful get-away trip.

Upstairs, you'll find the living room/dining area, kitchen, 1/2 bath and the patio. Most homes can't claim the 1/2 bath !! Cozy up in the comfy blue jean couch and loveseat and enjoy the 42 " Flatscreen TV added to the Living room Entertainment Center, along with a DVD player to entertain the kids during "rest time" ! The couch-bed opens into a queen sized sleeper for 2.

Dining options include a large dining table with sturdy chairs, two bar stools for happy hour, dining for two children at a built-in table in the kitchen, and patio. The spacious closet houses hanging space, shelves for the pillows, sheets, towels, etc., Pack n Play, vacuum cleaner, broom and dustpan, etc.

Oak laminate flooring makes cleaning sand up easier during your vacation time.

There is so much to do - or not to do if you choose! A perfect escape! Walk to Donut Hut for wonderful pastries, biscuits and coffee. Buy fresh seafood at Goatfeathers Seafood Market next door to Donut Hut to eat at home. They'll even steam and season for you at your request. Walk to Brozinni's Pizzeria, Big Fish Bike Rental for extra bikes, Doc Smiley's Urgent Care , a Movie Rental Machine, and Snappy Turtle where you can buy swim wear, floats, tshirts, etc. It is a pleasant bike ride to visit the cute little shops and restaurants at Seagrove Plaza and just a little further to Seaside. Don't forget to take in a few sunrises and sunsets while you're here. They're often breathtaking!

A trip to the Welcome Center on the corner where 98 meets 331 will provide you with answers and lots of maps and materials to guide you to all the fun things the area has to offer.

Adjoining Port St Joe has marked trails for hiking enthusiasts. Deer Lake State Park offers unmarked hiking, and beautiful sand dunes. Grayton Beach State Recreation Area offers beaches, nature trails and picnic areas. You'll love the slower pace of Seagrove, as opposed to crowded Destin or Panama City. Call me to reserve your 'Peace of Seagrove' vacation.

About Kathy

I love the Gulf any time of the year; the sound of the surf and the sand pipers, the smell of the air, the bright white sugar-sand beaches and the gorgeous shades of the sunsets. There is such an infusion of the senses. After spending time in the area, you'll want to come back often. And a week away from the boss is.............Priceless!

Kathy purchased this townhome in 2001

Why Kathy chose Beaches of South Walton

A friend and I brought our children and their friends down for Spring Breaks for years and loved the slower pace vs bigger places like Destin, Daytona, Fort Lauderdale.......It's perfect for the price. Our Cassine community offers so much to do, and it's being in walking distance to beach, pools, restaurants, Snappy Turtle for beach items, Goatfeathers Market for fresh seafood to bring home, etc is just perfect for families.I hope you'll love it as much as I do.

What makes this townhome unique

Our community has so much to do right here on the property with the 2 pools, 2 tennis courts, trails and fishing pond. Or just relaxing with some good reading material and catching up with movies is my favorite thing to do......and of course a little shopping at Seaside!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had such a great time at your place. The condo is clean and comfortable, and had everything we wanted: it's real close to the

beach, walking trails, pool and shopping. We did it all ! Clyde and I highly recommend staying at Kathy's place !

Convenient, Relaxing Family Time

  • 5 of 5

~Our family has 'beached' at the same location for years, so this year we chose to try something new. Thrilled that we did! This was the best vacation we've been on in several years. There were many things to do, we were in a convenient location, and townhome was comfortable.

~Cassine Village is in a perfect location. It is near The Donut Hut, Brozetti's Pizza, Mi Casita, Goatfeathers, a souvenir shop, and a popsicle shop. We enjoyed donuts almost every morning. It was so nice to hop on the bike, pedal over, and pick up breakfast for everyone. We love the pizza, and even ordered pizza to eat at the beach our last night there. One evening, we got gumbo and fresh, steamed shrimp from Goatfeathers. We made our own shrimp quesadillas at our place.

~Since we were so close to Seaside, we rode bikes there. I suggest Googling the calendar of events for Seaside. Much to do. We also drove to Panama City one night and to Destin a different day. We drove to those places but there are so many things to do in and around Seagrove Beach that it isn't necessary to go that far.

~The actual neighborhood was perfect for us. Our daughter and her friend rode bikes every day while we were there. There are nature trails that are beautiful and relaxing. The pond and picnic areas are also nice. We took fishing gear but ran out of time before we had time to fish. Maybe next time. Kathy's unit is at the front of the neighborhood, so it's closer to the beach. Her balconies are private because they do not face any other townhouses. The neighboring unit had bird feeders, so we enjoyed watching the birds (and the squirrels). We liked the fact that there were no people behind us.

~Within the townhouse we found everything we needed for a wonderful stay (and more). Two bikes were provided for our use which was awesome. The cart for carrying chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc. to the beach was AWESOME! It was wonderful to have that available. There were extra wash clothes, towels, pillows, blankets....everything we could have needed. For me, the best part was that the beds had quality mattresses. It's nice to fall into a comfortable bed at the end of a long, busy, fun-filled day.

~Places we ate: Brozetti's Pizza ( and calzones), Grayton Seafood Company (delicious), The Red Bar (great food, interesting place, reminded me of Flora-Bama, but not), Old Florida Seafood House (Yummy), and food trucks at Seaside.

Pictures don't do justice-August 16

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough about how nice the condo was and dealing with the owner, the pictures don't do the condo justice very clean, and up to date, there is a washer and dryer.. The pool is short walk most of the time we had to our self, there was one small issue with sliding door they were very quick to fix. It is a very short walk to the beach. There are a few restaurants with in walking distance and one Tom thumb convenience store. Plenty of items for the beach or pool The only negative I have is not the condo but the area itself, 30 A is very crowded with cars, bikes and pedestrians if you are looking for a beach type pub/restaurant you are going to drive to it, a ways.

Owner's Response: Thanks Scott for your visit, and your review. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. Beaches are always going to be the most crowded in the summertime when schools are closed. The wonderful thing about Hwy 30-A is that it is a 2 lane with 25-35 mph traffic so it is relatively safe to navigate by bike, car or on foot. Lots of people who have previously vacationed in Destin and Panama City have expressed to me that 30-A is the place to be. Try again in the fall or spring when the beaches aren't as crowded.

Nice Stay

  • 4 of 5

Nice place and near the beach. Just what we were looking for in terms of price and location. Had just what we needed and nothing we didn't. As a suggestion, a waterhose attached to an outside faucet would have been helpful to wash off feet and other things before going inside. Other than that we liked the place and would stay here again if the opportunity affords it.

Owner's Response: Thanks for staying with us David. I'm so glad you had a nice time. I appreciate your feedback. We don't have a hose there since we are just 3 units down from the main Cassine outside shower on the corner, where you can rinse feet and chairs. But thank you again for your thoughts. I hope you'll come back again. Kathy

Great Vacation

Kathy was an excellent host and her charming condo was just across from the beach; making it easy for us and our kids. Having a pool was a big plus as well. We would definitely rent here again. Thanks!

Great spot to celebrate Memorial Day weekend

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated Memorial Day weekend at Seagrove Beach and got lucky with beautiful weather and sparkling blue water. The condo is in a great location, just a quick walk to the beach. Great local restaurants are also just minutes away -- Angelina's, Café Thirty A, Old Florida Fish House and Great Southern Café in Seaside are a few 30a favorites. Kathy is a fantastic owner, checking in before and after our trip to ensure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back!
