About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Bring your boat or just relax. We offer a private boat slip for our guests. Enjoy the best of both worlds in a charming lakefront / mountain cabin on a pristine and quiet lake nestled in the foothills of the Smokey Mtns. Lake Adger is 438 acres and 14 miles of shoreline in the heart of western North Carolina's equestrian towns. Small private communities have been carved throughout this unspoiled 3200 acre mountain landscape.

Our Treehouse, so named because it's surrounded by trees giving the feeling that you're as high as the tallest tree. The main level, easily accessed from the parking area with no stairs has a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast / dining area. Adjacent to the dining area is an inviting living area with vaulted ceiling, natural stone fireplace, hardwood floors and breathtaking views of the lake and mountains.

On this level is also the master bedroom with a queen size bed, large whirlpool tub and sun room also with views. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and its own adjoining bath. Wood steps closeby lead down to the lake and boat slip for swimming, boating, fishing and socializing. Next to our cabin is a park, on the water, with a screened gazebo and hanging chair to enjoy the evening breezes off the lake. Add'l cabin photos available upon request.

Lake Restrictions: 80hp for Pontoon and 60 hp for other types. No Jet Skis or Skiing.

Peace and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

We use VRBO regularly and this unit was one of the most well appointed rentals we have stayed in. There was everything there that we could possibly need. We especially loved the screened porch just off the master bedroom. On Saturday night after a long day in Asheville, we returned to the Chalet and turned off the air, opened all of the windows on the screened porch, turned the sofa around to look out on the lake and listened to the soft rain on the trees. It was lovely. Thank you for having all we needed, in a clean, quiet and scenic spot.

This property is remote and private but warm and cozy.

  • 4 of 5

Driving into the development, I was surprised how quiet and isolated the neighborhood seemed. When we arrived at the cabin, I immediately felt welcomed and cozy. The view was inviting and we enjoyed sitting on the deck or in the sun room reading our books or just looking out over the water. Everything that we needed was provided. The only problem I had was using the common path down to the dock. You can drive down, but I prefer walking since it was so close. But the path was steep and sometimes difficult. But once we got there and took a ride on the kayak, I forgot about the difficulties of the path! Our overall experience at this cabin was great!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review Cyndee. I wish there was something more we could do to improve the pathway down to the lake. It's a common element and the POA is responsible. Not doing a very good job. Come back for another visit and we'll be happy to extend a 10% discount on our rates. Take good care ...
