About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Bring your boat or just relax. We offer a private boat slip for our guests. Enjoy the best of both worlds in a charming lakefront / mountain cabin on a pristine and quiet lake nestled in the foothills of the Smokey Mtns. Lake Adger is 438 acres and 14 miles of shoreline in the heart of western North Carolina's equestrian towns. Small private communities have been carved throughout this unspoiled 3200 acre mountain landscape.

Our Treehouse, so named because it's surrounded by trees giving the feeling that you're as high as the tallest tree. The main level, easily accessed from the parking area with no stairs has a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast / dining area. Adjacent to the dining area is an inviting living area with vaulted ceiling, natural stone fireplace, hardwood floors and breathtaking views of the lake and mountains.

On this level is also the master bedroom with a queen size bed, large whirlpool tub and sun room also with views. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and its own adjoining bath. Wood steps closeby lead down to the lake and boat slip for swimming, boating, fishing and socializing. Next to our cabin is a park, on the water, with a screened gazebo and hanging chair to enjoy the evening breezes off the lake. Add'l cabin photos available upon request.

Lake Restrictions: 80hp for Pontoon and 60 hp for other types. No Jet Skis or Skiing.

Great Cabin on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

Great location! Nice view of the lake from the balcony. We brought our boat so the private dock space was perfect. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Lake Adger.

Cozy cabin, with a great view !

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful and cozy cabin. We enjoyed it so much.Well stocked with all the things you don't want to bring...pots and pans , towels.linens and a Kreurig(win) ...We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the view and the peacefulness of the sounds of nature. But watch out for falling ..We laughed a lot about the acorns falling and who was going to get hit next...We finally solved the problem by putting up the umbrella to the patio set..Not that it was a big problem it was rather entertaining...Would stay again if we are in the area.Thank you for letting us enjoy your little piece of heaven on earth...

Picturesque Perfection

  • 5 of 5

The owners have taken great detail with every ounce, square foot of THE TREE HOUSE. You will want for nothing and enjoy everything. If you prefer peaceful, serene quiet overlooking spectacular scenery--all within miles of many, many destinations, please try the Tree House. It is spectacular. Fishing, kayaking, grilling are just out your back door. While indoors books, games, movies abound.

This totally immaculate cabin is completely equipped. The owners are available and amazing. Should you be looking in this area for a wonderful place to stay...I do believe you will adore The Tree House.

Quiet and Peaceful Weekend at Beautiful Lake Adger

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Treehouse Cabin over Columbus Day weekend 2016.

This is a great weekend getaway if you want to escape to the quiet and beauty of Lake Adger.

This cabin is one of five chalets located on a bluff over the lake.

Access to the dock was either by a steep path (some stairs) or by walking down a very steep grade road (or you could drive). This is very common around Lake Adger because of the steep hills around the lake.

The small deck out back of the cabin is very private, but it is definitely in the trees (aka "Treehouse Cabin") which unfortunately block some of the view. You can't see the other cabanas from the back deck or back windows. Overall a very nice quiet place to sit out back and relax.

The cabin is well maintained and has everything that you would need for your stay.

The owner, Dick, was friendly and helpful in finding places to eat in that area.

He recommended "The Brick Pizzeria & Cafe" in Columbus (about 20 min drive) which turned out to have great pizza.

Check-in and check-out was as easy as getting the key from a lock-box and locking the door when you left!

Lake Adger is a great lake.

The development around the lake is minimal and the community limits the size of boats allowed.

This makes the lake extremely private, peaceful and quiet.

We used the cabin kayak and fished from the dock (no luck fishing, but very enjoyable).

It was a short drive over to Chimney Rock State Park.

We had lunch on the back deck of "Riverwatch Bar & Grill" on the Main Street strip.

The food was good but the view of chimney rock was great!

We will recommend this cabin to friends and relatives.

Owner's Response: Thank you Steve. That was a great review and we appreciate you making the time to comment. As you say, Lake Adger is a unique community because of its private location and also because of the natural and unspoiled nature of its surroundings. We're fortunate indeed to have the chance to share this with our vacationing guests. Please come back to visit. The next time rates will be 10% less :)
