'OCEANFRONT #1151, located high up on the 11th floor of the Whaler, offers sweeping 270-degree unobstructed vistas of the Pacific Ocean, Kaanapali Beach, three neighboring islands, and the West Maui Mountains. The spacious floorplan has 1,349 square feet, including a 408 square foot wrap-around lanai. This corner unit is better than oceanview--it's direct oceanFRONT!!!!!

Here a tranquil paradise awaits you. Awaken to gorgeous sunrises and calls of tropical birds. Enjoy Maui's incredible beauty from the inside, or step outside onto your large, private lanai with its two areas of comfortable Tropitone furniture. Watch the whales right from your lanai, in season, while relaxing in the perfect outdoor climate with cool island breezes. It's the ideal setting for sipping MaiTais, sharing a meal, and listening to live Hawaiian music from below. Gaze directly from the lanai each evening and marvel at God's creation as the sun sets vibrantly over the ocean framed by the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Although you may never want to leave, you are only steps away from beach activities, shopping, and restaurants--or plan fun sightseeing excursions around the island! Fall asleep each night with the gentle sounds of the ocean.

This deluxe condo features a light and airy tropical décor and many upgrades. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with granite countertops, new appliances, wood cabinets, recessed lighting, tile floor, and all the amenities. A kitchen window overlooks the ocean. The living room and bedroom have been newly carpeted and have mirrored walls and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize your enjoyment of Maui's exceptional beauty. The king-size bed provides a restful night's sleep. Both full-size marble bathrooms have also been refurbished with new cabinetry, glass shower doors, and tropical décor. If you just can not leave business behind, our unit has an office area, which is laptop-ready with free high-speed wireless internet connection, fax, copier, and printer. A complimentary in-room safe is also included.

We have limited the occupancy of our 1 bedroom, 2 bath home to two adults. The unit is entirely NON-SMOKING, including electronic cigarettes and vaping,, both inside and out. The Whaler does not allow pets. Check-in time is 4 PM (or earlier if ready) and check-out time is 11 AM.


All linens are provided. Check-out cleaning is included free of charge. Additional cleaning during your stay can be arranged for a nominal fee.


A $1600 deposit is needed to secure your reservation. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. The damage deposit is fully refundable upon satisfactory inspection of the unit's condition following your stay. Hawaii's non-smoking law is firmly enforced by the condo association and violation will result in forfeiture of deposit. Credit card accepted for payment through VRBO.


Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to arrival will be completely refunded, less $50 plus credit card processing fees. Cancellations received less than 60 days prior to arrival will be subject to a 3 night minimum charge. Should a reservation be cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival, or for rentals inbetween December 17 and January 1, refunds will be made for those days that are re-rented, less $50 plus credit card processing fees.

best view ever

This unit has the best view because of the balcony. You can see the ocean from the kitchen, family room and bedroom. The owners are just a phone call away if anything should arise. They are very accommodating and do their best to make your stay a memorable one. The Whaler is also a beautiful private resort with very friendly staff. Unfortunately we had to leave due to some pretty severe jellyfish stings. Check Hawaii's calendar of jellyfish blooms before you plan your vacation.

Great room in Maui

We have stayed at the Whaler several times bit this was the best palace to stay. We were in the end unite right on the beach over looking the ocean. It was great because it was whale season. What a view. It does not get any better than this place. DR. Dave

We were fortunate to return to this beautiful condo.

We were amazed to see how the owners had upgraded the condo since our last stay. Being on an upper floor the views from the direct oceanfront wrap around lanai are beautiful.

The condo is comfortable furnished and the kitchen has everything one might need.

The owners are dedicated to making sure that guests needs are addressed. They are truly a pleasure to deal with.

We cannot come up with a single negative comment------except perhaps the fact that we must leave and go home.

Fabulous Condo/Perfect Location

We have traveled several times to Maui and have always stayed in hotels on the island. My husband has never been interested in renting a condo on a vacation but after our recent experience in this particular unit with its most incredible view, he has now decided

that our future trips to Maui will be spent in this this this lovely unit. The view from the wrap around balcony is probably one of the best views on the entire island. The Condo is right over the sand and I believe the closest buildings to the water anywhere in the area.The owners of this condo thought of every amenity you could possibly need. The kitchen is very well equipped although we did very little cooking. We did go down one evening and use the BBQ. We loved getting up in the morning and sitting on the lanai having fresh pineapple, hot coffee and toast. The unit is elegantly furnished and incredibly spacious. Larger than any suite you could rent at any nearby hotel. The pool and the beach were great and the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The price was more than fair and if you are considering a trip to Maui you would not be disappointed with a vacation here. This was our first experience with using VRBO and we were very happy with the communication with the owners and how helpful and friendly they were in setting up the arrangements for renting their property. We look forward to returning here for future vacations.
