The "River Palace" is built over the intersection of three river beds, and is the tallest habitable structure in the Southern Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica, reaching over 70 feet high! It's accessed by three bridges, and has three floors inside.
If you ever imagined you and your friends/family living like Tarzan for a week, this is finally your chance. This dreamy, open structure has views to the jungle and streams below.
Oh and did we mention that it has six round hanging beds, each with its own mosquito net (not really needed... more for glamour) and its own lights and cell/ipad charging station? You've never seen anything like it!
The kitchen bar is made out of a huge slab from a single cenizaro tree branch that fell down in a storm, and is nearly 20 feet long!
Everything about The River Palace is exotic, unsual, and exactly what you and your family imagine everyone lives like in the jungles of Costa Rica. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of places like this in the country, but you're lucky enough to have discovered one of the best!
The River Palace is located in Rancho Delicioso eco village, with over 150 edible plants around. We have chickens, goats, horses, ducks, peacocks, sheep, and extensive organic gardens that you can stroll around and explore.
The location is ideal for surfers. A group of us who live on the farm go nearly every morning and/or evening for sunset/sunrise wherever the waves are best. We hit both sides of the peninsula, at spots around 15 minutes away. We'll take you with us and show you the best spots.
If you want a private chef, we can arrange it, and he or she will harvest some of the food from our farm for you.
We have two yoga teachers who live at Rancho Delicioso and they can do private classes for you, or you can join one of our daily classes.
This place will really go way beyond all your expectations of exotic jungle living, and will be something you never forget.
The 2017 season will probably be the ONLY year that The River Palace will be available as a villa rental. On alternate weeks we're running Permaculture and Yoga/Surf retreats here, and next season we plan to do this every week. So if you like he idea, you'll need to do it this year.
