4 Bedroom, 2 Bath Lake House, 1 mile to Resort Town, Family-Relax, Recharge
Located in lower Michigan, "the Mitt", it is near many lakes, rivers, and streams. A 50 minute drive to Traverse City - the home of the Cherry Festival/Film Festival as well as 15 minutes to Cadillac, 20 minutes to Houghton Lake, and 2-3 hour drive to Grand Rapids, Lansing, Flint and Detroit areas. Temperatures range from high 60's to low 90's throughout our summer from June - September. The family cottage since the early 1950's is now a Lake House restored as a home sitting on the east side beach of Lake Missaukee. The lake, a water sports mecca, provides opportunities for fishing, boating, and swimming. In front of the Lake House is a sandy beach that is very shallow on the water edge and 200' is what is called the "deep end" - about 20'. The whole lake is not deeper than 35'. A great place to enjoy. The family name is Roe, thus, the home is called Roe-manse, or "house of Roe". As it sits on the east side of Lake Missaukee, the lake house provides a panoramic view of the whole lake from sunrise to sunset....and they are breathtaking! The Lake House has been remodeled several times over and is now a year-round home. 25 steps from the door of the Lake House puts you on the beach. There are two private-area patios. The front patio overlooks the lake and beach. Tables and chairs provide seating for 12. The back patio has the grill, table for 6 with an umbrella, and space for relaxing in the shade. The view is the best -look to the right and you see the resort town of Lake City; to the left, you see cottages and homes lining the beachfronts. From the large open living area there is a constantly changing scene and view of the lake. Additional living areas include an open concept living area with kitchen, dining and a place to relax, two adorable double bunk bedrooms and two large/master bedrooms with two baths. The "flow" and traffic pattern with bedrooms on each side and the living/activity areas in the center of the home provides privacy and a sense of unity. A great place to relax, enjoy family activities, and find a quiet spot for yourself. Towels and linens available. Washer and dryer. Full service and open kitchen with full amenities. Very comfortable for eight people to move around. Fenced in back yard. Wifi. Dingy boat with oars to get out to the boat buoy, to attach a boat or pontoon, if needed. Firepit. Shade. Open and sandy beach. All the amenities and outdoor features for a fantastic vacation.
This is a family rental and children are welcome. There is a Pack and Play, highchair, and booster seat available for smaller children. In the queen room closet, there are toys for children to play with. In the sunroom, under the counter/bookcase, there are games, cards, coloring books, etc for both children and adults to use. Maximum occupants are 8 guests on the property. This lake house is not set up for nor can it handle large parties, gatherings or reunions.

About Nancy R Ingram
Meet Nancy and Bill 'Renny'. We are a retired sister and brother team. We have vacationed in the Lake City area since 1950 and still do. With our parents, our 99 year old father still living, we travelled all around the United States of America when we were young, however, our family always had time to spend at the cottage, now Lake House, in Lake City, Michigan whenever we could. As we grew, married, had children and now grandchildren of our own- we still gravitate back to our favorite little resort town - Lake City, Michigan located on the edge of beautiful Lake Missaukee. We look forward to the Greatest Fourth in the North every year, with four generations of our family gathering to take part in the festivities, including the July 4th parade. We, Nancy and Renny, left to get our degrees, work our careers, and finally retire - it is in Lake City area that we still currently live for six months out of the year. This Lake House represents our family's passionate history, love, fun, relaxation, and pride. Sharing with families as a rental, is a tribute to our Lake House memories. Welcome to our Lake House - we will make sure you have a great experience and we know you will develop positive memories of your own.

Why Nancy R Ingram chose Reeder
Visualize a Lake House on the east-side beach of beautiful Lake Missaukee - walking distance to downtown. The property was passed down to us from our parents and all four of us enjoyed this location for vacations from the time we were young. In the 1950's, being able to walk across the street to Dog and Suds, the laundromat, and meat market were places in our little world that were special. These places are gone now and replaced by other meaningful and memorable shops, eateries and mom and pop stores. Showcasing our lake house is done with pride and honor as it represents years of fun, relaxation, and slower living off the clock with our parents. Now, being able to offer our Lake House as a rental to families during key vacation times, helps us share the love of a beautiful place and location that will help others develop fond memories. Your family will enjoy this Lake House as much as we do. A special place, with a prime location, being able to walk out the door to relax and play on the beach and in the lake. A great place to relax, refresh, and recharge as a family.

Comfortable, great owners!
We loved our stay at Roemanse! The sandy beach and wonderfully stocked cottage. Very clean. Nancy is so great to work with and always quickly responds to questions. Beautiful sunsets and a clean sandy beach. We have already booked for next summer!
A Fun Vacation Destination
My family and I loved the time we spent at Lake Missaukee. The lake house/cottage was even more than what we hoped for. Full amenities - it is truly a home. Very accommodating to guests. Highly recommend to others if you want to relax, enjoy the beach and lake, and experience adventures nearby.
We are so enthused that you enjoyed the Lake House - it is a precious gem on Lake Missaukee. Come again next year if you have the time! Enjoy the rest of the year and thank you!
Just as described! A family delight!
What a great place in a great location! Spacious and open. Cool 70's decor with modern amenities and just enough nostalgic pieces to make it feel quite comfortable! Excellent cross-breeze through the house from the lake. The thermometer read over 90 degrees but we weren't feeling it, very nice nice design!
Very comfortable and roomy. Gas and charcoal barbecue grills to suit your choice. Excellent selection of LPs (albums for you youngsters) and stereo phono to provide a wonderful blast into music popular music history. We enjoyed the games in the sunroom/family room as well as some of the books in the bookcases (I found the hidden treasure of the 5-year diary). The beach was fantastic and the kids loved the Roeboat! I'd recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful getaway!
Our Lake House is located on beautiful Lake Missaukee, an all- sports lake. It is best known for its beaches (there are none better than ours on the east side), swimming areas (ours is sandy with a gental slope), fishing from shore or boat, water skiing, scuba diving, boating, walking the beach, relaxing on the beach, sand castle building, kayaking, and of course you can view the lake from most of our rooms or sit on the lakeside patio to watch the water activities or enjoy the best sunset views on the lake. Lake City just a mile walk away and other area cities, offer many activities, shopping, food and entertainment. You must try the Tasty Treat, (Lake City) they have the biggest ice cream cones in the north. Need a cold beer just stroll to the Town Pump (lake City), Food Factory, or the Hollywood for a home town crowd and brew. Cadillac is 15 miles away, Houghton Lake 20 miles away, and Traverse City just 50 miles away. Great central location to many activities, events, and up-north venues.
