Over 5. 500 square feet of Mountain Luxury

My husband and I have 8 children and we thought they would come up to Big Bear more often. This is why we made our home so big so we would all fit comfortably. Unfortunately it is difficult to get everyone together so we thought we would share our home with others so they can enjoy it even if we can't.
Elena purchased this Estate in 2009

Large comfortable house
Great place to stay at for large groups. Really enjoyed it and had no problems at all. Would definitely recommend.
Great family getaway
We are grandparents who wanted a family trip for our 6 kids and 15 grandkids. This cabin was perfect for us. Very pleasantly appointed but nothing too fancy to worry about damaging. If you’re looking for luxury, maybe not for you, but if you want to relax with no stress letting 15 kids do what kids need to do, it was wonderful. Lots of room to spread out if you don’t mind a child or two in sleeping bags. Two bedrooms had private bathrooms and 2 bedrooms shared a jack and Jill bath and shower. Only one toilet room accessible to all but we were very relaxed and shared as needed and made it work. Two amazing decks with pleasant views. One had a jacuzzi, table and chairs and BBQ. Large downstairs playroom with pool table and air hockey as well as a screening room, where seating was tired looking and held together with tape but ok. The property manager, Elena, was wonderful. She answered my calls immediately with questions and had a video service person contact us to solve a problem. We would happily come back again!!!
Cabin layout and location were awesome! Went sledding right outside.
This is a very well worn rental property that has not seen much TLC. It advertises sleeping 16, which it does, but the main living/gathering floor has only seating for 4 (two small couches), without pulling out the dining room chairs, which we had to do every day.. The carpeted areas were well worn, and did not give you the feeling of being fresh and clean. Additionally the TV on the main level is undersized for the room. The living areas of the home have a direct western exposure on the back of the house and in the summertime the heat coming in from that exposure can be brutal, to where it is uncomfortable to sit in either the main level or the upper level. There is no air conditioning in the house so that exacerbates the problem on hot days.On top of that there are no window treatments on the western exposure, thus no relief from the sun in the afternoon. The upstairs front bedrooms window coverings were not great , so if you sleep there be prepared to get up a the crack of dawn. The kitchen was adequately, but not abundantly supplied with the exception of silverware which was about half of what was needed to accommodate 16 people. We had to buy plastic knives, forks, and spoons. The property was devoid of any landscaping, and immediately below the back porch was, what appeared to be about 12 dump truck loads of dirt piled on the ground. The chainlink property fence in the back was damaged and in bad repair. We had to have a repairman out to fix the spa, and the Owner did make a good effort to put temporary window shades in the windows facing west, so they were reasonably accommodating to our needs. The Owner does not supply propane, so the unfortunate guest who hits the empty tank, has to refill it. We left it full. It was empty when we got there. The downstairs 'rec' area was nice. . pool table. . air hockey. The home theater was well worn, with most chairs being patched, and being held together with black duct tape. The location of the house is fine, and all the activities in Big Bear are readily accessible. The downside in that Big Bear Lake is dying. My last visit there was 40 years ago, and we had a completely different experience on this visit. Because of the drought the past five years, the water level is down about 18 feet, all lakefront homes have boat docks that are high and dry, water quality is bad, fishing is bad and swimming from shoreline is almost non existent. I would not return until things improve.
Nice view and beautiful house
We enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful house
Beautiful home in a great location!
We rented this beautiful home for a mother/daughter weekend and had an absolute blast! The views from the balconies are unbeatable! Plenty of room for us to spread out and sleep comfortably. The best part was that this home is situated at the very top of a hill with open access to a gorgeous hillside meadow that the girls loved to explore. A short hike up the hill gave us a 180 degree view of Big Bear Lake and the amazing town below! Priceless! Would love to come back again!! Thanks for a fun weekend!
