About the property

3 Bedrm & 2 Bath/Forest & Stream View/Hammock & Picnic Table/Trails & Lake Close

Single Story Eagle Cabin is close to hiking trails, has a stream running through the backyard and backs the national forest. Located on a beautiful pine tree lined street. Forest & stream views from the intimate master bedroom deck. Same owners as popular Green Valley Lake's Eagle Lodge.

Fully remodeled with solid oak floors, pine ceilings, & cabin log furnishings. Our cabin is a short 15 minute lesiurely walk to the lake, and just a couple minute walk from hiking trails. Eagle Cabin is a fantastic get away for couples, families, and furry friends.

The space

Green Valley Lake is a peaceful, quiet 9 acre lake set in the beautiful national forest, and is a 4 season mountain paradise. The area is quieter and more peaceful than either Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead, and is one of many reasons we love Green Valley Lake. From fall leaf colors in Oct/Nov, Sledding, Snow Play, Hiking, Boat Rental, Fishing, Swimming in summer, mountain biking, there are many activities to try! Hiking trails surround the community, and there is a community basketball and volleyball court, skateboard area, fishing (license required), free snow play areas (a couple sleds are included), non motorized boat rental (late spring/summer), a swimming section of the lake during summer, and a dog friendly section of the lake.

The cabin has new stainless appliances, one set of white linens on each bed with a blanket and cabin themed quilts. Serta pillows are on each bed. 10 white towels and washcloths are included. A new 43" smart roku tv is in the living room and wifi access is available for your devices. No cable TV is included, however, you are able to sign on to your Netflix account and a limited number of streamed free channels are available. We have a DVD library with a Blue Ray player connected to the TV. The master bedroom and bunk room have a flatscreen tv with dvd player. Games are available- pictionary, monopoly, scrabble, jenga, battleship etc. A kids toybox is in the cabin.

A stream runs through the back yard and views of the national forest in the back are lovely. A hammock & picnic table are under the front pines for outdoor eating & relaxing, with a new gas grill.

Guest access

The entire single level house is included in the rental with 2-3 parking spaces (2 in snow and with larger cars, and 3 small cars in times of no snow) in front of the cabin. A laundry area with washer and dryer are included.

Interaction with guests

Owners are readily available by phone, and spend time at Green Valley Lake frequently. Our local housekeeper is also available for immediate needs.

Getting around

It is best to purchase groceries and supplies down the mountain, as selection is very limited once at Green Valley Lake.

The cabin is only 6 miles from Snow Valley and the Snowdrift Tubing Park. Big Bear is about 18 miles away, which is a 30 min drive in good weather and traffic. Lake Arrowhead is also about 15 miles away.

Other things to note

Green Valley Lake is a beautiful small, friendly mountain community. There is a small general store, with basic necessities and a diner style eatery along with a neighborhood bar. A shop across from the lake handles fishing licenses and pole rentals. In winter, or during fall and spring snow days, snow chains are required.

About Steve Miller

I live in San Diego County with my wife. We greatly enjoy spending time in the mountains with our family, and love the quiet peaceful natural environment of Green Valley Lake. We are excited to share both the area and our cabin. We usually spend every other weekend up in Green Valley Lake and enjoy all seasons, from winter snow to summer hiking and lake activities.

Why Steve Miller chose Green Valley Lake

Eagle Lake Cabin is a beautifully restored single level cabin perfect for family and friends. It is also ideal for groups who would prefer a cabin without interior stairs. The three bedrooms make it easy to spread out and comfortably enjoy the lovely mountain environment. Hiking trails through the forest at the campground are just down the road from the cabin, and the lake is a lesiurely flat 1 mile walk from the cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

Green Valley Lake is a beautiful, peaceful and quiet natural environment away from the busy areas of Arrowhead and Big Bear. Eagle Lake Cabin is a comfortable, meticulously restored, place to experience the beauty of the mountains. From summer days at the lake and hiking through the forest, to fall leaves, winter snow fun, and spring flowers, Green Valley Lake's Eagle Lake Cabin is a fantastic place to experience all four seasons.

Very nice getaway cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights during Thanksgiving weekend. Cabin was nice size for 6 people plus one dog. We really enjoyed the stay here! Area around the cabin is quiet and we walked everyday. I am so glad that we booked this cabin here instead of Big Bear area. It turned out that Big Bear area was so crowded during holiday weekend. We spent times at Big Bear area for the day to shop and eat but everyone said "I want to go back to cabin and relax!" All the amenities are perfect, inside the cabin was super clean and lots of towels were available and we were so satisfied with Eagle Cabin's stay. Thank you to Flo and Steve!! We will definitely like to come back here !

A beautiful cabin in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

We found this cabin to be beautifully decorated and stocked with all the kitchen items we needed to prepare our meals. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds comfortable. We also enjoyed the lake pass and spent time on the beach and swimming in the lake. The picnic table and hammock were used to relax and also the site of some intense competition when we played cards and other games. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Fantastic 'End of Summer' Family Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a wonderful 3 day vacation at Eagle Cabin. LOVED IT!

Our family of 6 + dog had a blast. The cabin rests among many other rental cabins, hardly any of which were rented during our whole stay, so we had a lot of privacy.

The cabin was roomy and beautiful. The kids loved the heavy-duty bunkbeds. Our dog loved curling up by the fire. We appreciated the pass which allowed us free access to the lake for swimming and sun bathing.

Another great plus were the two forest service roads (one at the dead end of the road, the other behind the cabin before the camp ground) which went for miles and miles! Off leash dog time yay!

A+ and could not be happier!
