Gorgeous Girls Getaway!!
I am so happy to write this review because our time at the cabin/lake was simply AMAZING!! We did not want for anything. The location was perfect for a quick trip to the Pictured Rocks Cliffs, Miner's Fall, Munising, Tahquamenon Falls and more. The grounds were perfect for short walks with my dog, Aragorn, who decided to fall/jump of the pier early morning on our 1st day LOL!! The full kitchen was a added plus because my friend cooked delicious meals everyday and the Weather Gods blessed us with beautiful, clear, sunny days. I really enjoyed adding our experience to your visitor journal; what a great idea! Thanks again Maria, I hope to return soon.
Thank you so much for sharing, Kim! I am so glad you enjoyed all aspects of the home. It is great how close it is to all of the good park spots, and yet way out in the woods! Aragorn is an awesome name for a dog by the way! Hope to hear from you again next year!
Upper Peninisula Home Base
The location of this great house in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula allowed us to explore national forests and Lake Superior and Lake Michigan's shores. The house itself is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. The views of Nevins Lake are gorgeous and there is even fish in there. HIghly recommended!
Thank you so much for sharing, Svetla. I appreciate you taking the time to rate your stay and also taking such great care of the home when you were there. I am glad you enjoyed hiking through the national forests as well, it really is the perfect spot to stay for that! Thanks again, Svetla!
lots of fun and happy memories!
We had a pretty big group with two small children, two small dogs, and six adults! But there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The house was cozy and had a cute decor; the kids kept themselves busy with various coloring books on the shelf (thanks for that!). It rained for two days but we made the best of a bad situation and hiked through mud and saw beautiful waterfalls and plenty of greenery. Don't forget to take advantage of the paddle boat! We also did some fishing off the dock. Overall, this place great for a family vacation and everyone had a wonderful time!
Minor suggestions for the property owner: the path from the backyard to the dock was uneven (and a little scary for the kids) therefore it would be great if you could fix that so more people can enjoy the beautiful lake. A bench would be awesome! Also, the screen door was frustrating, it kept getting stuck.
Kunga, thank you so much for staying at our home and taking a moment to share your thoughts. I am so glad you had a wonderful stay and were even able to make good days out of the rainy ones!
The walkway to the lake has been a challenge for us thanks to some neighborhood beavers and their home they built, but we are making plans to address this. This was the first year we had an issue like this and we do plan on rebuilding the dock and making a nice boardwalk pathway down to the lake. I am happy to see you enjoyed the paddle boat anyways!
Thanks again, Kunga, hope to have you as a guest again sometime!
Beautiful view and very quiet.
A wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Coffee on the deck listening to the loons was just awesome. We will definitely book again whenever we make it back to the UP.
Thank you so much for sharing, Don! It is indeed so relaxing out there I don't blame you for coming back. Hope to hear from you again sometime!
