3 Bedroom, 2 Bath For 6 People
The husband was raised in Tucson, went to the University of Arizona, married his wife of 55 years, Bonita, while at the university, and their first child was born in Tucson. They still have over 70 family members living in the Tucson area so when they retired in the San Diego area decided to keep a townhouse in Tucson for visiting family and friends. Our son and his wife still live in Tucson. Bonita is an accomplished watercolor artist and has shown works in New York, Chicago, Tucson, Tubac, Phoenix, San Diego, Dallas, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Santa Fe, and Mexico. Most all of the artwork in the house is her original work. She is a juried member of WFWS, SAWG, and SDWS.
Jim purchased this Townhome in 2006
Why Jim chose Quail Canyon
Quail Canyon is a quiet area in the preferred northeast foothills of Tucson with great mountain and valley views and Sabino Canyon and Ventana Canyon one mile away. In 2008 we completed an over $100,000 remodel with a completely new kitchen, raised ceilings, new master bedroom suite, and office addition. We also enclosed the back porch, added ac and heat, to complete an art studio for Bonita which we just converted to a 3rd bedroom. New plush carpeting installed in the living/dining room, bedroom 2, and master bedroom was done in 2015. We only use the house a few weeks per year and hate to see it unused, thus the reason for deciding to rent it out for others to enjoy.
What makes this Townhome unique
Hundreds of bird species including quail are found in and around our area. Regular visitors include coyotes, bobcats, javelina (wild hogs), roadrunners, tarantulas, and of course rattlesnakes. You will be surrounded by large sahauro, prickly pear, and jumping cholla cactus as well as mesquite and palo verde trees.

Super clean, super neighborhood, super pool, super views ( tough to NOT have a super view in Sabino Canyon ) close to everything . What a wonderful week
Tucson Bike Trip
Had a great week. The owner, Jim, was very good to work with. The house is very nice and in a great location for biking.
Quail Canyon Vacation
We stayed for 12 days at the lovely townhouse. It is in a scenic area and close to shopping, hiking, horseback riding and numerous other activities. It is a quiet and relaxing area. The home was well stocked with amenities. We were greeted with a wonderful bottle of wine and beautiful note cards done in the artwork of one of the owners. We also enjoyed seeing her artwork throughout the house. It was dog friendly and I had my Toy Manchester Terrier along with us. She enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and going out to the backyard. Neighbors were very friendly and always waved and stopped to talk. We had a great time and look forward to staying again in the near future.
Super Clean Great Art Galley Home
The photos do not do this home justice. The location was perfect for hiking Sabino canyon & Saguaro East. Owner's art on display was an unexpected treat. Super clean a bonus.
Awesome house in Quail Canyon!
We really enjoyed our stay at Jim and Bonita’s house, it was a great place to call home! The house had everything we needed and very clean and well maintained. Their home is full of Bonita’s wonderful paintings. Very quiet neighborhood, a nice place to return to for another visit to Tucson! Jim was very friendly and responsive to our questions. Thanks Jim and Bonita!!
Great location. Close to golf and hiking.
We had a great time in Tucson! The House was in a perfect location. Everything you needed was within minutes away. We spend a lot of time at Sabino Canyon so being right down the street was perfect. Of coarse, we stopped at one of several Happy Hour options along the way and then came home to cook dinner later. A very important option for us and your house had everything we needed for that!
The back patio area was perfect for our dog and the neighhood was super nice and safe for walking him. We were there a little over two weeks, which allowed us time to get to know the friendly neighbors. Hope to go back again sometime!
Famous El Charro mexican restaurant less than 1 mile. Sabino Canyon and Ventana Canyon for hiking / site seeing / mountain biking just 1 mile. Golf at Ventana Canyon or Loews Ventana Canyon Resort and restaurants.
