WELCOME TO OUR CABIN!
Welcome to our rustic log cabin three miles from downtown Breckenridge. Our authentic log cabin offers amazing views of the ten mile range while hidden in the woods above Breckenridge.
After a long day of skiing or hiking, you can unwind by the wood-burning fireplace, sit in the steaming hot tub, and enjoy the warmth that a true log cabin offers.
The cabin is decorated with antiques unique to mountain culture and is accented with log and rustic furnishings throughout. Two downstairs bedrooms come with new queen-size beds and spacious closets.
The upstairs loft has two twin beds and a queen and overlooks the spacious living room. Our second bathroom is located in the loft. 2014 Updates include new wood floors, new windows throughout, and updated kitchen with new breakfast bar and cabinets, and new Windriver Hot Tub delivered May 15, 2015.
Our covered front deck overlooks the yard and has amazing views of Peak 1, and 2, and partial views of the ski area. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset, or unwind after a day of adventure. There is a private hot tub to enjoy as well.
4 Wheel Drive, All Wheel Drive, or Snow Chains are recommended in winter months. Roads get very slippery.
The cabin comes equipped with one full bathroom downstairs which includes a bathtub/shower, sink, toilet and plenty of storage space. This bathroom was just updated with new fixtures, tile, lighting, shower doors etc. The upstairs loft has a bathroom and shower.
The cabin is walking distance to hiking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking in the National Forest. Shopping, downhill skiing, and restaurants in downtown Breckenridge are only three miles away.
Firewood available from late fall through March. After March, firewood is not guaranteed, but bundled firewood is available at the Conoco at the intersection of Boreas Pass and Highway 9.
Four wheel drive, all wheel drive, or snow chains are recommended to reach our cabin in the winter due to the snowpacked roads.
All members of the party must be at least 27 years old or accompanied by parent/guardian to rent and stay in this property.

Mountain Cabin At Breckenridge
This is a quintessential ski house, loaded with charm, convenience and comfort.
We are had a great time and a couple of terrific ski days.
Amazing cabin set in the woods of Breckenridge
We had a fantastic stay at this perfect Breck cabin. The size was perfect for two couples and two kids. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to be in downtown or skiing in 10 minutes. The hot tub was our favorite part - the perfect end to our day skiing was to relax in the hot tub and look up at the stars. Our one STRONG recommendation is to rent an SUV with four wheel drive and snow tires. We made the stupid rookie mistake of renting a van with front wheel drive and could not make it up to the cabin a few times because the car was not capable of driving up steep roads. We had to get towed one time, and the rest we had to park in town and get an Uber to our cabin. If you rent in the winter and plan to drive, spring for the four wheel drive snow capable vehicle so you won’t have issues like we did! This cabin is definitely worth it. We will certainly be back again and next time rent the right kind of car. :)
Nice Place, Horrible Owners
The property was nice but the owners claimed we broke their hot tub and the seat cushions were missing when there weren’t any cushions to begin with and the hot tub worked fine during our whole stay. When I asked the property manager for evidence she stopped replying to my texts and the owners were able to take our whole deposit without consulting us. We all learned a valuable lesson that I’d like to pass on to anyone reading this review: take as many pictures as possible before leaving your rental!
This is the first time in my history in using VRBO where we have had to keep the guest security deposit. We did not charge for arbitrary damages. Communication was direct and immediate following the stay and pictures were provided as well as detailed communication regarding the damages to the property, including chopping wood inside the home, dragging the kindling box inside the house and attempting to start a fire on the hearth, breaking a stone off the fireplace mantle, left the home in a mess with ashes and excessive trash (owner noted this as the messiest guests that he has ever seen), thrown chairs off the deck into the snow, missing cushions on the hot tub, hot tub overflowed and excessive dirt (hot tub is professionally serviced between all guests) and even using the outside deck / snow as a 3rd bathroom. Payment to just the hot tub company to correct damages exceeded the security deposit.
Also, guest did not meet minimum rental age requirements (stated as "all members of the party must be at least 27 years old or accompanied by parent/guardian to rent and stay in this property"), and as agreed to per the rental terms. This is being addressed with VRBO.
We take a lot of pride in this cabin and want all of our guests to have a wonderful time and make those perfect Colorado Mountain memories. Unfortunately, this guest had a total lack of respect for our home and the property. Rest assured that we have corrected these items and restored the property back to our standards for future guests.
If you are considering staying with us, please take into consideration all reviews that have been submitted by past guests. We look forward to hosting you and your family/friends for your Breckenridge vacation.

Great place to relax by the fire but also get into town for activities. Beautifully kept log cabin in the woods. Overall great experience
I brought my family for 5 days and we had a great time.
We enjoyed spending our nights around the fireplace - and exploring Breckenridge during the day.
Definitely planning to come back in the future.
