Welcoming, clean, and cozy!
The Sweetwater Inn was perfect for what our family of five needed for our trip to Marquette. The space was welcoming, clean and filled with natural light. The bed we slept on was very comfortable! Miriam graciously offered to set up an infant travel crib as well as a twin mattress on the floor for our children. She also brought us a delicious, homemade banana cake. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Sweetwater Inn!
Cozy upstairs apartment close to downtown.
A bit drafty in the bedrooms. Wonderful host made fresh pastries in the morning. This place had all the necessities; cream and sugar, soap and shampoo, iron and hairdryer, etc.
Bedding was warm and clean, beds a bit short for tall people so each of us took on own bed. Comfortable stay on quiet street.
Cute and convenient
We have stayed in Marquette rentals many times and this place had everything we needed! It was in a convenient location, had a well supplied kitchen, was clean, and kept us cozy on chilly days. The place was styled beautifully. The owner made us some beautiful and delicious breakfast. They were accommodating to requests as well. Parking is on the road but we usually found a spot right across the street. Also, bring some slippers to wear in the apartment.
PERFECT LOCATION and SET UP
Marium was amazing and the special unexpected treats were delightful. The open concept apt. was perfect for us Moms to hangout and play some cards, yet relax in our rooms if we desired to do so. We walked everywhere and were only 11 min. from our half marathon we ran. Thanks! We would def. return to this place!
Great location! Wonderful hospitality! Beautiful living space!
We have stayed at 5 or 6 different VRBO's in the past and this one has been our favorite so far. The hosts are very responsive to any questions or needs while at the same time very respectful of privacy. We loved the lemon cake Miriam made for us and found the living space to be well equipped with everything we needed. The home is very clean and well kept and the rooms are quite large and comfortable. We really enjoyed Marquette and found lots of things to do in the evenings. Black Rocks brewery is just a couple of blocks away and so is the rest of down town. Marquette also has Target and most of the other big box stores if you need them. But mostly we found the local stores and shops to be more than sufficient. We made day trips from here into Pictured Rocks and felt like it wasn't too far of a drive. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again. Thanks for the great stay!
The Sweetwater Inn was an absolute joy.
- Comfy beds and furnishings
- Quality cookware (the knives are actually sharp!)
- Location - Walked downtown and to the beach easily
- Hosts - Miriam, Dan, and Maddie were great. Kind, helpful, respectful of privacy, knowledgeable.
- BAKERY - A completely undeserved kindness, every morning Miriam brought us homemade bakery, which was quite unbelievable.
You won't regret staying here.
