Location: The house is located off highway 88/89. Located 4 hours from San Francisco Bay Area, 2 hours from the Sacramento Valley, 30 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, 20 minutes from Kirkwood Ski Resort, 10 minutes from Markleeville, 15 minutes from Grover's Hot Springs State Park, 30 minutes from Sierra-at-Tahoe, 25 minutes from Adventure Mountain Lake Tahoe and 30 minutes from Carson City.
House features: A fully stocked kitchen with a butcher-block top island, travertine tile, two convection ovens, six burner stove and stainless-steel appliances. The dining area contains a large farm style table that provides plenty of room for eating, visiting and playing board games. The master bedroom features a log king size bed and private bathroom with jetted tub and walk in shower. The master bedroom also has French doors that lead to a large deck. The other two bedrooms have queen-size beds with a Jack and Jill bathroom with tub/shower. The living room features a sectional couch situated in front of a wood burning fireplace (wood supplied), a 58” flat screen TV with DirecTV, a sound bar with subwoofer to stream music wirelessly from your mobile device, DVD player (be sure to bring your DVDs to watch) and three sets of French doors that lead to the large back deck. Relax on the large back deck while listening to the sound of the river flowing by and enjoying the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, trees and meadow. The deck features a gas BBQ, a hammock (may not be available during the winter) and patio table and chairs (may not be available during the winter). The house has radiant floor heat, WiFi, dartboard, board games and puzzles, a foosball table in the garage, corn hole, beer pong table, horseshoes, Mega Jenga game, and a disk swing for the kids in the meadow.
Activities in the area are endless: Enjoy the beautiful Hope Valley any time of the year. River fishing is only steps away. Explore the 1.5 acres, right outside your door, where you can enjoy sledding on your own personal hill (situated behind the house across the meadow) and many nearby hiking trails. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are minutes away. You are close to the towns of Woodfords, Minden, Gardnerville and Markleeville. You can head into South Lake Tahoe to try your luck with gambling or to Kirkwood Ski Resort for skiing/snowboarding. You can try out the natural hot springs at the nearby Grover Hot Springs State Park or just relax and unwind with family and friends.
