Nice Place With A Few Flaws
This condo is conveniently located away from the noisy entertainment area and busy streets, but within 10-20 minutes walking distance to the laundry, bars, restaurants, shops, S&M mall, and its Hypermarket.
The 11 story building has a restaurant, bakery cafe, small grocery, and office on the ground floor. The top floor and roof houses a large, modern, clean gym with friendly staff, along with 2 small, cold, outdoor pools and an attractive bar area offering a pool table, dart board, and outstanding view. The building's serviced adequately by 2 elevators, has inside and outside parking, and provides access to an adjacent large, shaded pool and second gym.
This 10th floor efficiency condo has a half open, decent but unimpressive, north view, along with a good sized, shaded balcony. I found the place to be nice, modern, clean, roach free, and well sized. It was furnished with a firm, comfortable bed, table set, couch, coffee table, night stands, clothes closet, and large TV. The kitchen had sufficient table, cookware and supplies; the bathroom a separate rain shower with hot water (but no hair dryer); and the room a fan, safe, iron, board, double supply of bedding and towels, and generous supply of hangars. The cable provided 4 english movie channels, news, and more. The internet was mostly reliable and fast enough for streaming. Maid service was included, and local manager Lina was excellent in staying in touch and addressing my needs.
Some negatives should also be noted: 1) The north side exposure made for a dark room, with the bathroom also having poor lighting. 2) Chronic dog barking below negated opening the sliding glass doors or enjoying the balcony. 3) The gym above caused some unwanted morning wakeups from dropped weights. 4) The condo had the worst, most persistent micro-ant problem I've ever encountered, despite my extreme cleanliness. 5) There were negligent maintenance issues, including a broken screen door, loose sink faucet, hazardous (loose) chair seats, noisy (unpadded) leg bottoms, a hazardous (loose & obstructive) bath sink shelf (in lieu of a vanity), and an occasional sticking toilet flush.
I expect that half of the above problems will be addressed, with the noise and design issues remaining. Regardless, this is the best place and value I've found after many years of visiting Angeles. It's truely a nice condo, even with its flaws, and I look forward to making it my first lodging choice for future trips.
To summarize my overall impression, I think it’s an excellent place to stay.
I highly recommend this luxury condo at Kandi Towers. It’s one of the best places to stay in Angeles City. A great home away from home, as the condo was both comfortable and convenient for me. The amenities and the services were very good, such as being fully furnished and having daily housekeeping.
The owner Sam, and the manager Lina, are very nice people. They replied quickly to my questions. Overall, I enjoyed my stay of 52 nights. In summary, an excellent place to stay, I think.
