Sharing our cozy home with our guests - Easy access to Denver, Mtns, Golden,
1950's era home (updated) which was built along the 44th Avenue Corridor which was used as a thoroughfare between Denver and Golden's mines. Sits back from street & has a 4' tongue & groove privacy fence, will be back-lit, creating evening ambiance in the front yard.

Perfect location to access Colorado outdoor recreation in the mountains or to enjoy City Amenities in Denver. 5 minutes from I-70 with easy access on/off I-70; 15 minutes to downtown Denver. 15 minutes to Golden and Olde Towne Arvada, 30 minutes from Boulder. Few blocks from home is Restaurant/Bar which has live music on weekends during spring, summer, fall; located 2 miles from new downtown Wheat Ridge on 38th which has restaurants, shops; 15 minutes from the "Highlands" & "North Highlands", another great area for restaurants/shops; walking/biking path along creek just 3 blocks south of our home.
We have owned this home since 1995, having spent number of years living in our home, "The Shop". Home is approximately 1000sf (2b1b), each bedroom has 1 queen bed.
We have many wonderful happy memories living in our home, which we fondly nicknamed "The Shop" . Our "pet" squirrel "Peanut" lives in the tree "condo" in our back patio, enjoys snacks, such as pecans, peanuts, etc. In spring the "flickers" return, taking possession of the "condo", nesting, hatching and raising young "flickers".
We are sharing our home with guests who want a cozy home, with easy access to all Colorado has to offer.....

About Niki Parks
Thomas and I are property owners/managers of our VRBOs. We love the business, the diversity of our guests (local, national & international) and enjoy furnishing, decorating so our guests feel they are "home" . We have VRBOs in Denver area (Arvada & Wheat Ridge) and in Colorado Springs. Thomas and I have a great "team" of individuals who assist us to assure our homes are well-kept & maintained. These "team" members include a wonderful housekeeper who cleans our homes (Dee has been with us since inception), Jim-Property Maint , Kris-Yard Maint/Landscaper and other contractors as/when needed. The "Shop" was Thomas's favorite home - Thomas updated the main home (Thomas owned/managed a Electrical Company, a General Contracting Company and a Commercial Roof Coating Company-Thomas was a GC and Master Electrician). Thomas had a "green thumb" (beautiful roses, magnolia bush & his 25 yr old Hibiscus plant); designed and built out the "bat cave"; designed privatizing our patio. In memory of a wonderful, honest, ethical & talented man - we look forward to our guests enjoying our home.

We have lived in this home and love it here - warm, centrally located with easy access to I-70 (East/West) and to I-25 (North/South). We walk daily along the bike/walking path, purchase our Christmas tree from our local garden shop (few blocks away), shop our local grocers 2 miles away, bank a mile away, shop for flowers/gifts from Swiss Flower Shop a block away & many friends close by. We have enjoyed our time here and want to share our home with guests who will take home their Colorado memories, basing from our " Shop"
What makes this House unique
Easy access to Colorado mountains - winter and summer, Denver (Bronco games, Rockies Baseball stadium, plays, the Colorado Convention Center, Denver Merchandise Mart tradeshows, etc. ), School of Mines and downtown Golden, beautiful Boulder, Olde Towne Arvada - too many to list! We have parking available for those guests who travel with RVs or horse trailers, either in our private yard behind privacy fence or in front of our home.

Very much as advertised!
I felt so comfortable there, it’s like staying at a friends house. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

Feels way bigger than we were expecting
Plenty of space for the two of us. The backyard space was very nice. It's also in a great location (20ish minutes from Red Rocks and about the same to downtown) so we did the mountains and parks in the area during the day, and hit the town at night!
Our home has easy access to I-70 East to Denver/Airport and West to mountains for skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling in winter and summer hiking, camping, fishing, etc. Medical facilities nearby (i.e. Hospital & Medical offices) Fitness/Rec Center within walking distance

Additional information about rental rates
Only accept dogs, which must be pre-approved prior to guests reserving home. Dog must be house trained; on leash when in front of home; rocky fenced area in yard behind enclosed patio for dog "duty"; Guests to clean up after dog prior to departure; do not accept dogs which are perceived to be vicious (ie rotts, pit bulls, wolf breeds). BBQ Grille: If grille has been used and not cleaned, we will deduct $25 from refundable deposit
