It was everything and more!!
The pictures are as amazing as it is in person. My heart stopped the moment I got to the front door and you get a view directly to the ocean before even getting into the home. There are so many windows to let in the natural air it was refreshing. I loved making coffee in the morning and sitting on the back enclosed porch. There is a grocery store right up the road, which was so convenient. They had a cooler and ice packs which made it so nice to take snacks and drinks on our excursions. You are an hour away from Honolulu. It may seem like a long trek to get into the city but honestly, I loved being away from the hustle and the bustle. And you get fantastic views along the drive so I can't complain. I felt like I lived in the neighborhood and not as some tourist. You are right across the street from the Polynesian Center. I was worried that there may be a lot of noise but there isn't at all. The home was everything it promised to be and more. This was my first time using Home Away and staying in a rental home. I couldn't have been more impressed. I had questions before booking and they were answered within an hour. I cannot stop bragging about this house and showing it off. The views of the beach and inside the home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil, plate, and even spices! I encourage anyone looking to stay on Oahu to stay here. You won't be sorry. You'll fall in love with the house immediately!!

Best beach house ever!
We stayed in this beautiful cottage house on the beach at the end of our vacation in Hawaii. This house is a nicely renovated beach house that has it’s backyard covered in green grass and opens to the beach front. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed every sunrise as well as the beauty of the full moon illuminating the ocean ripples and viewable from the master bedroom. Our children played non stop in the backyard as well as the front yard, after they tired themselves out on the beach. The inside of the house was extremely clean and every part of the house brought so much joy to my mind. Also, all we needed was right there for us.I would have loved to stay in that Beautiful beach house forever! Across the street is the Polynesian cultural center and not far north on the highway are all the high surf beaches collectively known as North Shore. Very quiet , peaceful area to relax and play.
We enjoyed the sounds of the sea at this lovely beachfront cottage. The original artwork throughout was beautiful. This northshore getaway was just what we wanted.
A Perfect Vacation House
This 1930's bungalow is a wonderful place to enjoy your Hawaiian vacation. The house is not large, but it is well equipped, has a fully stocked kitchen and many windows to let in plenty of light and fresh air. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a view of the ocean. The other bedroom is on the front and features a full size bed, which is really wasn't big enough for our twin 11 year olds to share with complete comfort. The room really can't accommodate a larger bed so this is not a criticism of the property, but potential renters should be aware of this.
Outside, this house has large yards in front and in back. Both yards have large lawns and are well kept. There is a nice bbq set-up in back. Also, the back yard features the famous Pacific Ocean. It's right there! A shower in the yard makes it easy to keep the beach outside. As we were there in December when the weather was a bit windy and showery, I particularly enjoyed the screened patio for reading and relaxing.
This place is obviously cared-for with pride. There are vibrant paintings with local scenes on the walls throughout the house. There is plenty of lighting in every room. And, the bathrooms are very clean and modern. As an owner of a beach property in California, one detail that cannot be helped is the signs of rust here and there. This cannot be prevented in a location so close to the salt water and is not a sign of poor maintenance.
The location on the island is nice but having a car is a must. It is a bit of a drive to visit sites in Honolulu, but it is a pleasant one. Also, the trip to the north shore is easy. The Polynesian Cultural Center is right across the street and is worth exploring. Overall, this is a fine home base for the island.
A hard place to leave.
If you want a little piece of Paradise this is the place to stay. My husband and I and another couple stayed in this beautiful house for 4 nights and found it hard to leave.
Being an artist I so enjoyed the beautiful original artwork throughout the house and found the kitchen better equipped then my own.
Such a relaxing place to come home to every evening after a day of sightseeing.
Nicely remodeled beach house. Comfy.
Location just walking distance to Polynesian cultural center. The house is comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with equipments and seasoning for cooking. The bed is comfortable and slept good with fresh ocean breeze. Just hard to get into the gate and back out straight to traffic. Dishwasher was loud. Could have been better if there’s table to eat on the backyard and gas grill for barbecue. But overall experience was great.
Located on the beach in quiet Laie town, this home is right across the street from a must see on your list, the Polynesian Cultural Center! Visit PCC without having to pay for parking! Walk across the street to Oahu's best Luau!Oh so close, yet the home remains far away and serene in feeling, detatched from the road or any action. Drive 10 minutes up the North Shore to famous Turtle Bay Resort for horseback riding, primier golfing, spa services, and fine dining. 15 minutes will have you in the heart of North Shore surf country, Pipeline, Waimea Bay, and Sunset Beach, all close by.
