Jeff Beeman purchased this House in 2006
Why Jeff Beeman chose Abiquiu
I decided I wanted more wide open space and discovered Abiquiu! I bought my Northern New Mexico style Pitched Tin Roof home in Abiquiu, January 2005. I remodeled the North Wing of the home and converted it to a Vacation Rental Casita. My occupancy rate has been 90%-100% each month ever since! I enjoy the company of my Paint Horse "Buster", the 3 mini Sicilian Donkeys 'Shawnee', 'Sunny' and 'Lolita'. (They stand only 3 feet high) and Alpacas Forest and Cooper. In addition to Cardigan Corgi named 'Soloman - a.k.a. 'Sully' and mini Tibetan terrier named Minnie. And precious cats 'Bibi' and 'Chumley'. For those of your with allergies, the Horse, Donkey & Alpaca Barn is located downwind 1000 feet from the Casita. My friendly dogs are only allowed in the common areas if invited by the guests. We are all quiet and keep a very low profile and are around only when you need us. I enjoy meeting the wonderful people that have visited and many that have revisited from all around the country and some from other countries that have stayed at my Casita de Chuparosa here in Abiquiu! I look forward to your stay! Jeff

More than expected! Wish we had skipped the city and stayed here the whole trip. Not only was the area beautiful but the home was a hidden gem We felt welcomed and so comfortable. I looked forward to the mornings, as the coffee and jams were wonderful. The owner was very knowledgeable about the area. His recommendation of hiking Plaza Blanca is turned out to be my favorite event of the week. Jeff's attention to detail does not go unnoticed and we really appreciated those special touches. From the animals, to the stars, to the vistas, to the hospitality, we had an exquisite time at Casita de Chuparosa.
Favorite VRBO of all time!!!!
This VRBO was a dream come true. My husband and I visited for my forty-something birthday in April 2019. It was very good weather. Sunny and 70s the whole time. The host was amazing. He was there whenever you needed anything, but he also gave you plenty of space. I recommend talking to him about the things to do in the area. He provided us with spot on tips that made our days much easier. The Casita itself is very charming, comfortable, kitschy, and very well-equipped. The art inside and outside is a cultural experience all by itself. I loved that there were two patios, one in the back and one in the front, depending on which side of the house the sun was on. The alpacas, goats, and horse were all very friendly and adorable. While in Abiquiu, we explored Ghost Ranch, Chimayo, Meow Wolf, Plaza Blanco, and Ojo Caliente, which were all wonderful. There were still more things to see, but we only had three full days. I'm home to Seattle now, but I think I left my heart at the Casita.
Gracious NM hospitality (with views)!
Wonderful six days at Casita de Chuperosa spent hiking, exploring, eating and wandering. Great tips from our host. Everything we needed was provided. Will definitely return.
A special and memorable place to stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casita de Chuparosa! The 350 degree views from the casita were amazing. The casita itself was cozy and very comfortable, and the animals (alpaca, miniature donkeys, and horse) that share the property made it even more special. Jeff couldn't have been a kinder and more helpful host, while also respecting our privacy. My daughter and I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful home away from home!
Wonderful trip to see your amazing animals. We all loved our visit.
Jeff, Thank you for being such a wonderful host!!!!! All of your recommendations for dining and the areas of interest were absolutely great. Of course the snow day was the highlight of our visit. The house is so very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had everything that we needed thanks to you.
We loved our visit and the amazing animals made it the most unforgettable trip.
Thanks for everything & hope to see you again.
A Cozy Family Retreat
My three adult children and I could not have chosen a better place to join each other from our homes that spread across the USA for spending a precious weekend together. Jeff's Casita was just what we needed with beautiful outside seating areas front and back that offered splendid views of the beautiful geography of New Mexico's southwest vistas. Our host provided us with stunning little extra touches, such as coffee beans he had roasted, himself, the day we arrived, homemade strawberry & chile jelly, extensive literature about the area, outstandingly comfortable beds and a kitchen that was stocked to a level that far exceeded our expectations. Although we only met Jeff briefly, he was extremely welcoming and hospitable. He was available by text messaging at all times to answer our questions. Our family enjoyed hiking around both on and near the property. We definitely recommend Casita de Chuparosa as a cozy gathering place for family or friends. We will remember our experience there forever, and we hope to return some day.
Thank you so much Toni! I loved meeting you and your lovely family. Thank you for being such wonderful guests, being so complimentary and considerate, you left my Casita in such great shape and thanks also for the kind words you left me in my guestbook. I certainly hope you can return to visit either here in Abiquiu or come visit me in Ajijic, Mexico.
