This charming downtown Stevensville home was built in 1910 with style elements of both Queen Anne and Classic Revival and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places as the Calvin & Magdalene Cook House. It was recently updated—to feature modern day conveniences—while still retaining a lovely historic feel in its structure and furnishings.

The house is a roomy 1800 sq. ft., including four bedrooms that sleep eight people in two queen beds, one full-sized, and two twins. There are two full bathrooms, one with a tiled shower, the other with a claw foot tub and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room seats 10 people.

The Cook Home has a mid-valley location, which is surrounded by the Bitterroot’s fabulous outdoor offerings: hiking, biking, skiing (downhill & cross-country), floating the river, fly-fishing, bird-watching, and strolling the many small town festivals. After a day of communing with Mother Nature, look forward to an evening at Home, barbecuing on the deck/patio’s professional-chef grill and indulging in games, TV, or high speed internet.

Stevensville was founded in 1841, as the first European-settled town in the entire Pacific Northwest. (Check out The Stevensville Main Street Association.) Combined with historic Cook House, this setting is ideal for family gatherings, couples getaways, wedding parties, and corporate retreats. The property, with its gardens and fountain and beautifully shaded and fully fenced side yard, is also available for small receptions, photo shoots, and private parties.

Love this home!

I would very highly recommend the Cook House. It is a well preserved historic site with all of the modern conveniences of today. Hostess Amy has provided everything you might need or desire to feel comfortably at home. The updated kitchen is completely outfitted with any appliance and baking or cooking accouterments you might need, including condiments, spices and oils. We are looking forward to returning for a longer stay in the fall.
