Lovely and bright Ballard home! 2 queen beds / 1 full bath.
Hello! I'm originally from Homer, Alaska and have lived in Seattle since 2008. I've owned my lovely home since 2014. I'm a real estate broker and love to help others find or sell their home, in addition to offering a short term rental. I'm a laid back traveler who enjoys a mix of exploration / adventure and a little relaxation wherever I go. Chasing the sun and spending time outdoors is a must in my life.

Clean, comfortable apartment in a great location
This was a great place for my wife and daughter and I to stay for two nights in December (2018), especially since our son and daughter-in-law's apartment is only half a block away. Very clean and well stocked, and relatively quiet, although a couple of times we could hear noise from the upstairs tenants, but it really wasn't a problem. Overall, a very positive experience.
There were only two things that made it less than perfect (I would actually give it 4.5 stars, if that were possible). The first is that there appeared to be no way to adjust the temperature, although I must admit we never inquired about that so it's possible we just missed a thermostat somewhere--?? It got a bit too warm for sleeping for our comfort. The second thing should be easily resolved--that being that there was no covering on the window in the kitchen. Since the apartment is mostly underground, the windows are at ground-level. It was a bit unnerving to be in a brightly-lit apartment at night with no way to block the view from outside, especially since the kitchen window is pretty much right next to the sleeper sofa and in a direct line-of-sight of the bathroom. That was our biggest complaint, and like I said, could be easily remedied.
We would definitely stay here again (although we would bring our own window covering, just in case...).
Thank you for the response! I'm glad you had a wonderful at our cozy rental. I wanted to address the two items mentioned:
1. The home has an upstairs completely separate unit that rented out full time. Both thermostats are located in this unit, due to the original construction of the home. I'm sorry to hear you were warm during your stay. We could have easily had the upstairs renter adjust your thermostat if we had known about this. We were unaware the lower unit was too warm for you and didn't hear about it at all.
2. The kitchen blinds are usually present. We had a renter break the blinds just before your stay and we were unable to buy a new set of blinds in the short turn over. I apologize for this and typically that window is completely covered. The window If you choose to stay again, I can assure you the window is covered by the kitchen.
This place was just as listed. Clean, comfortable, and a perfect location close to our Son. Cozy and comfortable!!
Nice property in a great location
Nice, quaint property in a great, convenient location. Thanks for letting us stay.
Perfect for single traveler.
Perfect for a single traveler. Close enough to Seattle area attractions, I hit some of them more than once.
Enjoyed my stay
It was a comfortable stay. Seattle is expensive for accommodation & although this apartment was a 35 minute bus ride into Seattle CBD, the price was right. The Safeway supermarket was just up the street & the bus stop around the corner. As a solo traveler, I felt safe in the area.
5 stars for this wonderful place.
We had a wonderful time in this cozy, quiet place.
