About Sally Weithman
I grew up knowing all the adventures that lay out there on the open road. Mom taught us the value of reading a map and the joy of finding treasures in dozens of out of the way places on or off the beaten paths she loved to take. Dad did the driving and seemed to know where to find bathrooms when the necessity called. Many times the family boxer would come along and we all learned the patience that comes with traveling together in the family car. We stayed in Tee Pee's in Kentucky and rough sawed redwood cabins in Wyoming. From castles in Ireland to villas in the Virgin Islands I love finding a great place to stay. Many of my favorite childhood memories are those marvelous extended week-ends loaded in the car heading in points south to the Smokies and Blue Ridge Mountains. Many years and a few dogs later nothing has changed for me. I still love to travel and while I have many favorite places that call me back again and again, I continue to seek out new areas of interest and our "must see" list keeps growing. Maybe I'll catch up with you out there on the road or across the sea. The world is full of wonderful people and marvelous things to experience. Traveling makes you learn so much about yourself. I've still got a long way to go which is exciting for me.
Sally Weithman purchased this Chalet in 2016
Why Sally Weithman chose Pigeon Forge
This is my first place in Tennessee and the short answer is it is located in one of my favorite spots on the planet. Sleeping under a blanket of Tennessee stars and breathing in that mountain air makes this a natural pick. Brook Stone is perfect as a "just right for one or two or three couples" place in an area that feels remote yet is about a half mile from a Parkway filled with every imaginable thing to do. You can't be bored in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.
What makes this Chalet unique
The property is ideal in it's location being so close to the bustling Parkway yet it feels like you are removed from the hectic pace when all you want to do is sit in the hot tub or enjoy a glass of wine and chill. It is a 10 minute drive to The Great Smokey Mountain National Park and all that lay beyond there. One hour away, over the mountain will find you at a casino in Cherokee N. Carolina if you fancy that kind of thing. Whatever you want it's here. About 1.5 hrs north and east takes you to N. Carolina and Biltmore the opulent Vanderbilt estate.

It was a great get a way for me and my parents. They hadn't been on a vacation in over 10 years - so this place was perfect. They had everything we could ever need. Sally was great to work with as well! The house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal. We would definitely stay here again!!!!
Great for us!! Used the hot tub, grill and full kitchen!! Nice location off the beaten path!!
We love this place. This is our second time staying there. Very nice for our family of 4. Everything you need is there. We love the location. Less than 5 minutes to the PF strip. Very close to the old mill area. Love this place. Quiet location but very convenient.
Marie: Thank you for the great review. I hope you come back again as you are a preferred guest. Sally
Wonderful stay for visiting, playing, and getting away
Our host, Sally, was extremely accommodating and the chalet was perfect for our older kids and ourselves. We used it as a home-base for attending the various activities and shows, including our daughter's debut in the dinner show, and visiting the Smokey Mountains. The facilities were perfect for making meals, enjoying our newly minted videos, and the jacuzzi. Thank you
John thanks for the great review. I love that you got to see your daughter in her show. What a special moment in your lives. Please come back again, great guests like you are always welcome. Sally
A little disappointed.
The cabin/ house was aesthetically pretty but there were some disappointments. There was not a red trash can outside the dwelling as stated in the info package I received. The master suite bathroom mirror was so low that neither me nor my husband could see our faces unless we backed up to the middle of the bathroom .It was extremely difficult for my husband to shave and for me to do my hair and make up. The over head light was out in the master suite bathroom. The light over the stove was out . There were light bulbs out in the night lights. The grill needed cleaning very badly but the grill brush was broken. There is debris built up in the grill around the burners. It rained for three days of our trip and it would have be nice to be able to grill and get in the hot tub in the evening but the porch that the grill and the hot tub are on is not covered. The property roof/ attic area should be checked. A couple of nights we could hear what sounded like animals either running in the attic area or on the roof.
Holy Smoke, I am so sorry you had issues like this. Lights are easily replaced and I apologize for things not being up to par. It is never the guests "job" to do anything but relax and enjoy themselves. I'm sorry about the grill. We can certainly try to be better. I will check with the squirrel patrol to see what is going on but the place is in a woods with surrounding wildlife and usually critters on the roof are out of my control.
The red trash can is under the front steps and not on the side because a raccoon family is always looking for the goodies inside. I thought I addressed that in the packet and many apologies if not. As far as the mirror in the bathroom goes, I don't know what to say other than I'm sorry it was inconvenient.
The back deck however, is one of the things I loved about this place when I bought it. I always like my hot tub under the stars so that will stay the way it is and we mortals will have to put up with rain from time to time but I'm sorry the weather was inclement. Looks like I have still some things here to work on. I have addressed the grill as you mentioned and my people have already come back with a report on it.
I will keep all your information on file for future use. I hope all your future travels make great memories for you and your husband.
Very cozy and comfortable. Beds were super comfy, nice jacuzzi, super clean, overall excellent! Definitely going back!
Nate! thank you, thank you. Come back and stay longer when you can. There is always too much to do in one trip.
There is an abundance of outdoor activities from zip line to rope course. Helicopter tours to nature walks and that is only if you want to be outside. The indoor activities are plentiful with musical and comedy shows for the whole family to Bluegrass and Rib festivals in the spring and Gospel group competitions in the fall. Wax museums and winerys. If you can think of it, it's probably already here.
