About Nicholas A Henry
Caron and Nick have lived in/around Carlisle for many years, and consider themselves locals within the community. They are very active, and enjoy kayaking, hiking, bike riding, camping, and hanging out with their rescue dogs. Nick, a local contractor, is passionate about renovating historic properties throughout the area. Caron is a psychotherapist, and spends her free time growing/preserving her own food, reading literature, and volunteering at a local state park. They love to take road-trips to new places, and particularly love to explore restaurants and listen to live music.

Great location, value and atmosphere - will stay again!
We stayed at this Carlisle vrbo during a visit with our daughter who attends Dickinson - we feel fortunate to have found this gem. The room and bathroom were tastefully decorated, clean and welcoming and we loved being able to stay at this farmhouse so close to Carlisle town center. A bonus was the walk right from the backyard to a beautiful walking/running trail. We will definitely stay there again on future visits to town.
I wanted another day
I wanted another day just to enjoy where I was staying. It’s not often that the place where you are staying becomes part of the reason you’re glad you were there. This place did that. Really enjoyed the room. I wish I had a place like this in my home. It felt like being at home as soon as I arrived. Thanks to Nick for being helpful. I now have a place where I will want to stay again the next time I’m in the area.
The owner was great at interactions. Place was as advertised with the extra benefit of a large collection of books to peruse. Would highly recommend.
Quiet & Peaceful
Quiet location with beautiful scenery. Clean & comfortable. We would stay here again if in he area.
Didn’t use the property after all!
Due to confusion on my part about where different parts of our large family were staying, we reserved Nicholas’ place but didn’t use it. He was lovely and contacted me to make sure all was well...he seems like a great host!
Lovely setting with nature sounds all around
My husband and i stayed at this property for 3 days while he was doing research at Dickinson college. I agree with all of the previous reviews but we feel there are some challenges with this studio for older folks. We are in our early 70's and in good health.
1. The studio was a bit too confining for us. I misread the ad and thought it was an apartment - separate bedroom. It is a large room, a studio. (it also rained steadily for the 3 days we were there so always confined to the room).
2. The bed was difficult for us to get out of, a beautiful bed but challenging for us.
3. The entrance is not the one in the picture off the patio. It is around the side and up the stairs.
4. There is a plant in the room that is too large for the space, making an already confining space seem crowded.
The shower was great, large with grab bars and excellent non-slip on the bottom, wonderful shampoo & conditioner provided. The very large desk was perfect for me to work on my fabric & quilting while my husband researched. The property owners are very nice and helpful. Again we agreed with all of the wonderful comments in the other reviews.
