Welcome to our spacious (3,300 square feet) ranch-style home – which means no stairs. The house was built in the mid-seventies, when they built homes with massive common areas. So expect to enjoy a lot of time with your family in the great room overlooking the seventh fairway of the Palm Aire Country Club Champions Course and when the kiddies go to bed you can belly up to the comfortable, full-size bar to party like you did back in the seventies.
There is no pool, but the Palm Aire Country Club offers short-term options for those wishing to enjoy the golf courses, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, or gym.
If you are seeking peace and quiet, you will enjoy the Lanai right next to the great room. Keep the binoculars handy to get a close look at all the wild life – from the birds to the turtles and fish. You may even get a peek at the local alligator. Or, perhaps more fun, check out the golf course as you may spot a PGA player or two.
There is a large living room great for relaxing. Grab a book and settle on one of the many couches for a peaceful hour of reading.
The kitchen still has that old-style Florida charm, complete with sunshine ceiling. It is a large walk-through galley style kitchen with plenty of cabinets and counter space. The dishwasher and fridge are both new and work great. There is also a new second fridge – great for beverages – in the large laundry room.
There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. All of the bathrooms have been fully renovated and feature beautiful modern finishes.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and huge walk in closet as well as an ensuite bathroom with dual vanities and, separated by a pocket door, the toilet and walk in master shower. The large guest bedroom is set up like a hotel room with two comfortable queen size beds, and this room also has a large walk-in closet. There is a bathroom that opens to this bedroom and to the hallway. To turn it into an ensuite, simply keep the door to the hallway locked. This bathroom features a simple tub-shower combo and also has dual vanities. The smallest bedroom offers great privacy as it is on the other side of the house, with one window opening onto the Lanai. This bedroom is right next to the third bathroom, which has a walk in shower and single vanity. The addition of grab bars and an elevated toilet make this a partially ADA compliant bathroom, suitable for someone who requires a walker.
If additional sleeping space is needed, the couches can be converted into beds and there is also a blow-up queen-size mattress that can be set up in the great room or the lanai.
There is plenty of room for your vehicles. You can get two cars in the garage using the large, double door. And if you have a golf cart, feel free to use the little golf cart door to keep your cart tucked safely away when you are not golfing. And there is also plenty of space on the driveway – there is a semi-circular drive in the front of the house and a parking area on the side that is large enough to park an RV.
This home is ideal for a family looking for a large, comfortable home to enjoy relaxing days and peaceful nights and it is centrally located – close to major shopping and the Sarasota airport. The Gulf beaches are nearby, with the famous Siesta Key beach just a 15-minute drive away. I-75 is readily accessible for each access to Tampa and Orlando – home to Universal Studios and Disney World.
