About Al Benkert
The Property is owned by a British family as their Florida get-away. It is managed by AL Benkert the owner and broker of Vero Beachside Sales-Rentals, a Boutique real estate company serving both the Barrier Island and mainland. He is an ex-marine, a mellowed New Yorker?, an E-Pro, a designated Short Sale and Foreclosure resource and a Luxury Home Specialist. Al offers a full range of Real Estate services for buyers, sellers, renters and investors. He specializes in being your Real Estate Consultant, helping you sell, rent or buy at the best possible price for you. He frequently lists properties for sale or rent and lets the client pick the offer that best matches their needs. In the Property Management area, he specializes in supporting out of town investors and providing newly arrived tenants with weekly, seasonal or yearly rentals. Al is an ex-marine with a Psychology degree who became an Information Technology executive for companies such as IBM, Ryder, Roadway, CHEP International, Freightliner and a Management Consultant at other Fortune 500 Companies. His career path involved many moves resulting in Al becoming an expert in Real Estate and all aspects of relocating a family. Unfortunately, Al’s fast paced lifestyle was halted by a 5-way heart bypass. Al re-engineered his life style- learning Reiki, eating healthy, running 5k’s, water skiing, rollerblading, playing tennis and Volunteering at Tony Robbins Seminars. He moved to Vero Beach and started his career as a Realtor and then opened his own company. Today he is also a Trainer at Tony Robbins seminars. Al Serves on the Board of the Oceanside Business Association, as president and vice president when needed helping to insure the continuation of the Farmers Market, monthly Sunset concerts and the Christmas parade. He is active in the Board of Realtors and local politics and has run for city council. Al lives on the barrier island in a water front home enjoying Tennis and Boating.
Why Al Benkert chose Moorings

Vero Beach is a small Seashore town with great cultural, education and medical facilities, it is known as the Hamptons of Miami. The area is Florida as it was meant to be, a small piece of Paradise, a small town with extensive cultural and recreational opportunities. There are multiple, tennis complexes, golf courses, miles of ocean front beaches, the beautiful Indian River Lagoon, a first class Art museum and live Theater and needless to say many first class restaurants. In the 70’s the county and city officials passed a height restriction of 65 feet so aside from two 7 story buildings and two 13 story towers there is a very low skyline profile and it is a very uncongested area of Florida that has retained its small town charm. The county has a regional mall, a large outlet mall and all of the big box stores within a 15 minute drive. Vero Beach is the county seat for Indian River County which encompasses 617 square miles & includes 5 incorporated towns; Vero Beach, Sebastian, Fellsmere, Orchid, and Indian River Shores. Strict building codes, a watchdog government, and an exceptionally high rate of charitable contributions & individual volunteerism contributes to the peaceful and idyllic lifestyle found in Indian River County. It is Florida's 6th richest county and one of the top 100 richest counties in the U.S. The Central beach area consists of Beautiful tree lined streets with short walks to the Beaches, Ice Cream Stores and restaurants, upscale boutiques, restaurants, hotels, and beautiful parks in this quaint little Oceanside Village. There is an excellent live production Theater, a beautiful art Museum, a quaint city marina, un-crowded beaches, restaurants, upscale boutiques, ice cream shops, a large public tennis complex and several beautiful parks all concentrated in a few blocks between the Indian River Lagoon and the ocean. Many tennis, golf and health clubs are within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Beautiful Tennis, Marina and club house located in the central beach area with the golf club within 15 minutes’ drive. There are quaint hotels and motels in the area as well as the 4 Star Hinton Vero Beach Hotel and Spa and Gloria Estefan’s Costa d’Este There are a great many active community groups including the Oceanside Business Association that coordinates the weekly Farmers Market, Monthly Ocean Side Concerts and Annual Christmas Parade.
