Where the every thing is EVERYTHING. <3
I'm not sure I could ever remember all of the things that made this home, and trip, the everything that it ended up being. Needing some time to disconnect, my husband and I stayed for 5 nights. Our initial reservation was for 3 nights, but we extended it an extra night twice. Who would ever want to leave?! It is peaceful..no street noise or city traffic. It is remote and gorgeous..a beautiful drive and incredible views. It is thoughtfully stocked with more items/utensils/extras of this and that than I could have imagined. It seemed like every time I'd think of something, for example, "What an incredible mountain view. I wonder what is over there on that mountain"..and I'd look to the side, right there would be binoculars. I was washing my hands, noticing how dry my skin was..and right there next to the soap was lotion. Seriously. And not some little bottle. A generous sized, use it if you need it, bottle. lol And the wood stove - perfect! Especially after a quick dip in the hot tub. 2 steps to the door, 2 steps in the door..and the wood stove warms you right back up. :-) The attention to detail isn't surprising, as after just a few short emails with Jacquie, I could tell this was a cabin she loves. That she'd make sure her guests loved it seemed only natural. I shared my love of birds, she made sure every bird feeder was filled. I told her I enjoyed taking landscape photography, she pointed out a local photographer for me to check out and places I might enjoy. I texted her saying I wasn't sure where my husband and I would spend the rest of our vacation after checking out (this was planned, we like a bit of an adventure) and asked if she had suggestions, and she actually called to share some ideas from a local. It was too much to message and she wanted to make sure she could help as much as possible. So really, in addition to agreeing with all of the other statements in the glowing reviews, I have only those personal thoughts on this once-in-a-lifetime, EVERYTHING was PERFECT, stay at the Christmas Cabin. Thank you for making it so wonderful!
The perfect moutain getaway!!
The cabin was beautiful and had every little thing we could possibly think of. We can’t wait to come back!
Ideal Cabin Experience
We stayed at this beautiful cabin last week and it could not have been more perfect! Jacquie was great to work with and the views from every angle of this cabin were wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub looking out over the mountains and spent most of our time taking in the views. We will definitely be back to stay!
Dynamic views, comfortable, clean, obviously well thought out
We were beyond pleased! The owners really left nothing out with this one. The kitchen was complete with anything we needed. The bedrooms were roomy and oh so comfortable. Hot tub was clean and warm. Wood burning stove was exactly what we wanted. All driving instructions and general house information was clear. We loved it and would certainly return. Note: highly recommend a 4WD vehicle, particularly during snow season.
Wonderful cabin, great location, and the owners were fantastic. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a mountain retreat.
It was great! House was great!
Idaho Springs is located 20 minutes from the cabin property. Fall River Road is paved and contains switchbacks. Our high mountain community roads are dirt roads and typically snow packed in the winter. 4WD or AWD with good tires is a must. In Idaho Springs, there is a Safeway full grocery store, gas stations, shopping, dining, breweries, Indian Springs Hot Springs, Argo Gold Mine and Mill Tours and Heritage Museum Visitor Center.
