Camden Village across the street from Harbor Park and Camden Library.
The Cottage offers panoramic views of Camden harbor from many of it's rooms and can accommodate up to 10 people with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The large backyard is beautifully landscaped and fenced on four sides for privacy. A large picnic table, Adirondack chairs and a barbecue are provided for outdoor entertaining.
We discovered Camden while on vacationing on the Coast of Maine and re-located 15 years ago to purchase an Inn and open a restaurant.
The Owner purchased this house in 2003
We are full time residents of Camden and can't imagine living anywhere else!
We love to walk in the village, borrow magazines from the library, watch the lobstermen early morning and the schooners returning every afternoon. The best of Camden is steps from our front door - come stay awhile!
My wife & I stayed in this lovely, renovated house for a week in May, 2013. The property is well described in the listing except for the location which we were surprised to find was at the convergence of two highways with the front door being 10 yards from the main one. When I looked back at the website, only the house on Atlantic Avenue was "pinned" on the map, so it wasn't obvious where this house was located. Other than the traffic noise, the house is conveniently situated, just steps from downtown and across the road from the library. The backyard was quiet and convenient since we were travelling with our dog. A couple of minor things needed fixing and the staff from the related hotel property also in Camden were very prompt at dealing with our requests. I recommend this property only if you don't mind 7/24 highway noise since it is a beautiful and well-maintained home.
