Owner very nice and quick to respond. Awesome stay
Nice cabin for 10
We rented this cabin for our annual family vacation. Cabin was away from the traffic noise but close enough to get to things quickly. It worked perfectly for us
Happy in Gatlinburg
The house was clean. We had everything we needed there. We got to see our first bear here, it walked right out in front of our house.
Everything was perfect and clean we enjoyed our stay and will be coming back in the future
Poor Timely Property Manager Communcation
Overall house is a decent size for a large group.
When we got to the house check in was easy (once we figured out the lock).
Overall first impression of the house; Bedrooms are a decent size with large master. Furniture in the living room was ripped in several places, no biggy. We took pictures with time stamp so we wouldn't get accused of the damage. House was clean.
Backyard; very small and messy. A lot of sticks, weeds & has some debris on one side of the house. One of our Pekingese stepped on something in the yard and hurt her paw.
There were 10 of us in this cabin comfortably.
The day of arrival we had a couple issues. Contacted the property manager the next morning. The smoke detector in one of the bedrooms was beeping. In which they didn't go out to replace them til the next day (we got there on a Tuesday batteries changed on Thursday). It can be annoying trying to sleep with a smoke detector beeping from low batteries.
Our second issue. Some may think it's not a big deal. But when you have TWO college students that have to do classwork online, That's a big problem. One of the things we look for in a cabin is WIFI due to they're college assignments. We left a voice mail on Will's contact number the morning after we arrived. He recommended we reboot the box, in which we did several times. Still no WIFI. An appt was scheduled for a internet tech to go out on Friday morning. Tech shows up & needed to get into the garage to look at internet amplifier equipment. I texted, called & sent an e mail through VRBO's mobile app. We did NOT get a response from Will at all. The tech even tried to call him a couple of times from his cell, to get no answer either. The tech scheduled another appt to go back Sunday being he had to get in the garage. Well here it is, Monday our check out day & still never heard from Will. This is extremely poor management. I understand people can get busy but when you own a property and rent it out for the price we paid I want to have the thing's that are advertised. This is not asking a lot.
For those who plan on cooking while staying at this cabin. Just so you are aware. It has very limited pots. It has several frying pans, a baking sheet, a baking pan (in bad shape), a couple of mixing bowls, 2-3 small pots. If I hadn't carried a 6 & 8 quart crock pot, large baking sheet, large pot & colander we wouldn't have been able to cook for a large crowd. We went out and bought an inexpensive set of pots to use while there.
Sorry for you issues, it is the mountains and things happen that’s out of our control, we do try to resolve them as quickly as possible, we did buy more pots and pans for the cabin.
perfect for a fun stay. great location, close to town but still has a private, woodsy, mountain feel. plenty of space for a lot of people. private rooms and comfortable beds.
