This cute two bedroom, 1.5 bath home provides ideal access to the best of the Twin Cities. St. Paul's Midway Neighborhood, located midway between downtown Minneapolis and downtown Saint Paul, provides the best of both cities...Light Rail and freeway access to everything, in a quiet, walkable, friendly neighborhood with plenty of attractions of its own.
This house is a six block walk to two light rail stations (Snelling Station and Hamline Station). It is also within walking distance of a supermarket, African grocery store, and a variety of restaurants including Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Ethiopian, and Thai. Saint Paul's legendary Turf Club is also easily walkable, with live music most nights. The neighborhood also offers decent local pizza joints, chain pizza, and several fast food offerings nearby. Groundswell, a great coffee shop/wine bar/restaurant is only two blocks away. There are also a Target and a Wal-Mart within walking distance.
The light rail provides easy access to both downtowns and almost every major sporting venue in the Twin Cities, including US Bank Stadium (Vikings Football), TCF Bank Stadium (Gopher Football), Target Field (Twins), Target Center (Lynx, Timberwolves), and the Xcel Energy Center (Wild). It is only a four block walk to Allianz Field (Minnesota United Football Club - opening in 2019).
You will also be located with convenient access to the Twin Cities array of colleges and universities. Take the light rail to the University of Minnesota's campuses, walk to Concordia or Hamline, or take the A-Line Rapid Transit to Macalester (or about a 1 mile walk).
The house provides two bedrooms and a small bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower, one bedroom provides a queen bed, the other provides a full bed plus a twin bed.
There is a full kitchen, reasonably well equipped. If you need any special cooking utensils, please ask and I'll see if I can either add it or provide it during your stay. Note there is no dishwasher. We'll be happy to wash your last set of dishes after check-out.
A full laundry is provided in the unfinished basement.
On-street parking is plentiful in this neighborhood.
The house is perfect for business travelers, with high-speed internet and a large desk with a monitor to plug your laptop into. Either downtown is about 25 minutes away via the light rail if you prefer not to drive.
