The sandy beach on Pointe West is just a short walk from the Serenity house and Galveston bay can be seen from the backside of the house. You will enjoy peek-a-boo views of the ocean from the front balcony, and views of the bay and the pond on the balconies out back. You can see water views everywhere! The peaceful covered decks and the patio below the house are great for enjoying the sunsets and spending time with family and friends.
There are plenty of activities provided on Galveston Island. Galveston Island is welcoming you to come and rediscover all it has to offer.
Galveston’s Moody Gardens provides three pyramids worth of zoo, amusement park and museum. If spending time on the sandy beaches is not enough, Schlitterbahn waterpark will entertain you and the kids for hours of fun in the sun. There are plenty of museums like Moody Mansion and Museum and Bishops’ Palace for the historical side of you. Galveston has several ghost tours available which walk you through the historic and haunted mansion district starting at the famous Broadway mansion, Ashton Villa! The outdoor walking tour of the Silk Stocking District takes you through fabulous Queen Anne homes.
There is plenty of shopping on the Strand and at the local souvenir shops. There are candy shops and ice cream shops that have everything from pulled taffy to pecan pralines (my favorite). Galveston Island is host to many festivals throughout the year like Mardi Gras!, Food and Wine Festival, GHF Homes Tour, Beach Revue, Juneteenth Celebration, Wild Texas Shrimp Festival, Island Oktoberfest, and Lone Star Rally.
This beach house is a 3 bedroom, 3 and a half bath cottage in the Pointe West beachfront community. Access to the beach is over a community boardwalk 5 houses away. Large master bedroom has a beautiful view of the pond and bay, queen bed, gorgeous bathroom and a private deck for watching the sunset. Guest rooms also have queen beds with private baths, and are located on the first floor, one with Gulf views and the other with a balcony facing the beach. All rooms have an additional twin size trundle beds for your little ones to enjoy.
The Pointe West pools are open year round, but only the hot tubs are heated. Guests will be charged a $10 fee/per person to use the beach club during the regular season (for off-season there is no charge to use the club house facilities). This fee covers the complete stay. THE POINTE restaurant at the club is NOW OPEN Tuesday thru Saturday 11 am to 8 pm, Sunday 11 am to 3 pm. Closed Monday.
The house technology is complete with cable, smart TV, and WiFi. In the event you need to connect to the outside world, you can connect your laptop to the in-house wireless system anywhere, including sitting on the deck. The smart TV can connect to your Hulu, Netflix accounts or you can connect to mine. Sand chairs and beach toys are provided. The outdoor shower makes rinsing off the sand from the day at the beach easy.
The house can sleep 13. Three Queen beds, two twin size trundle beds, a twin size hide away bed, a Queen Murphy bed and a Queen Sleeper. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
No prom groups or parties please. Contract signer must be 25 or older and stay at the house.

Cancellations and Hurricane Policy
There is a 60 Day Cancellation Policy for Daily and Weekly Bookings. There is a 90 Day Cancellation Policy for Monthly Rentals. If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless: The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a 'Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area' and/or a 'mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning' area of residence of a vacationing guest.
The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a 'Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning,' area, we will refund:
• Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
• Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
• Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the 'Hurricane Warning' period.
