About Bonnie C. Smart
Retired nurse with a love of nature. Traveled near and far, but nowhere compares with the beauty of this area. Would be interesting to see a map of all the trails and places that I have walked and explored over the years.
Why Bonnie C. Smart chose Lower Hominy
When we bought this 5 1/2 acres over 50 yrs. ago, there was nothing on the Biltmore side of Brevard Rd. , except pasture land with a barn and cows, belonging to the Biltmore Estate. We had a Grammar School, a couple small churches, and had to drive into West Asheville for grocery shopping. THINGS HAVE CHANGED..
What makes this Cottage unique
Country atmosphere, but come off our property, and it opens up to Interstate 26, and within a couple miles Interstate 40. We are convenient to everything while our property is serene and quiet.

Nice Place To Stay
Just what the doctor ordered. This round house had everything we needed for our visit to Asheville. Very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Very nice shower and kitchen. The regular sized fridge was a plus. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this unit for anyone wanting to be close to everything yet feel like you were up on the mountain side.
Perfect for a short trip
Very cute little property. Perfect for a weekend trip and relaxation. Close to the main road but could barely hear any street noise. Would love to return at some point.
Thank you for taking time to write a review for 36 RRR. You were quiet, and respectful of Unit#1. We would invite you back at anytime.
It's more fun when the weather is warmer and one can enjoy the picnic table, grill, and fire pit., and sleeping with the sliding door open. Sleeping with door open?? OH yes. We had a long time female single renter for 3 years, who loved sleeping with slider open, and nothing but the screen door between herself and the covered deck. Must admit that I love sleeping with just the door open, and feel quite safe.
Remember us when returning to Asheville. There is much to enjoy.
Respect suggestions for ways to improve the stay for our guests.
Excellent! Clean quiet and well appointed :)
Everything was just as advertised, really quiet and clean, parking right outside the little house, everything worked perfectly. No complaints at all, will definitely return.
We enjoyed everything about this rental, the location was perfect for getting to everywhere around Asheville and the property included everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. It was easy to interact with the owner and obtain the key and the property still felt secluded and private while being accessible to Asheville. Hope to return soon!
Thank you for staying with us, and we look forward to your return .
Our stay was only for the weekend. But this place was absolutely perfect. It was close to all the attractions and the price was perfect. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a little getaway quiet quaint romantic place to stay. I have already recommended to friends to check this place out.
Makes me happy every time someone likes our place. Thank you for staying with us, and for sending your friends our way.
Quiet and Conveniet
This little place was great! Close to the interstate but so quiet. My mom and I came to town for a craft show and other exploring. We had all we needed and loved all the windows. The kitchenette was perfect so that we could eat breakfast and take it slow in the mornings. Also liked that the shower, sink, and bathroom were separated so that we could both get ready at the same time. With our little canine neighbor checking on us from time to time, we were well taken care of!
Loved having you! We hope you will return and stay with us again.
