Bahia Mar 175 is a beautifully restored three-bedroom and three bath condominium. We are located in Building 1 which is one of the 2 buildings closest to the beach. After Hurricane Dolly the Bahia Mar resort was completely restored with two new beautiful pools and hot tub.
This condominium has two levels. We placed our master suite on the second level with a king bed (hotel quality extra firm mattress with a memory foam mattress topper for cushioned support) and an en suite bath (shower/tub combo) and private balcony. The beautifully furnished and decorated first level has a large second bedroom with two queen beds, en suite bath (shower/tub combo) and private balcony. Our third bedroom is also on the first level with 2 queen beds (hotel quality firm mattresses with memory foam mattress toppers for cushioned support). The bath for the third bedroom (walk-in shower) is just outside the bedroom door so that it can also be accessed from the living area.
Living area seating includes a sofa (with queen sleeper) and a recliner (both new as of 8/01/2015), the dining set comes with 4 chairs and 2 barstools at the kitchen breakfast bar.
Balconies: there is a balcony off the living area with 2 chairs, another balcony off one of the first level bedrooms with 2 chairs. The second level king bedroom also has a balcony with 1 chair.
For our guests convenience we do have a washer and dryer (new as of 10/06/2015) in the condo. In addition there is also a coinop laundry on the property)
To get down to the beach, just go down stairs and you are just 100 steps from digging your toes into the soft, warm sand. Volley ball nets are set on the beach seasonally as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals. During the peak season, Jet Ski rentals and banana boat rides are available.
Most 3 bedroom condos have a maximum occuapncy of limit of 8, however our propery generously allows up to 10 occupants maximum including infants. On site security does enforce the maximum occuapncy limit and we are unable to authorize exceptions to the maximum occupancy rules.

All sheets linens and pillows are provided
10 sets of bath towels (bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth)

Parking Permits: While most properties only offer one parking permit per rental, our property gives you up to two parking permits at no charge. A third parking permit may be available for an additional charge.
Modern fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and major appliances such as flat top range, refrigerator with ice maker (new as of Sept 20, 2015), and dishwasher. Plates, knives, forks, spoons, drinking glasses, pots, pans, pasta strainer, can opener, cork screw, cheese grater, plastic mixing bowls, blender, toaster, microwave, drip coffee maker as well as a Keurig k cup coffee maker, dishtowels and many more items too numerous to mention. One of the best features that we offer is 24/7 professional management services of Padre Island Rentals. If you ever feel that you need an item that is not provided or is missing, or if any situation comes up during your stay that requires attention, we have a phone number that our guests can call 24 hours a day and speak to a live human being whose only job is to help make your vacation the best it can possibly be. This condo was very clean and comfortable.
Bahia Mar 175 was the perfect condo for me and my family to enjoy our time at South Padre Island. It was spacious, clean, and has a recently updated kitchen. We loved the convenient washer and dryer located in the condo as well. The property is safe with on site security and has beautiful landscape. We loved the pool area that has a great deck for laying out. The beach is just a few steps away. Such a blast!
It's old with very uncomfortable beds but it's right on the water. Very no frills.
This is the first time we stayed in S Padre Island. The area is beautiful, the beach is clean, our condo is spacious (beds) for 10 people. Overall, we have had a great time! The most convenient feature of this condo is that it has washer/dryer inside the condo (we could wash swimwears right away). However, it seems that the condo needs some maintenance work done. Our dryer did not dry (had it repaired right away, but still dried slow); refrigerator leaked water inside; dishwasher's detergent box was broken (we had to throw a detergent block directly onto the floor of the dishwasher). The kitchen/bathroom supply was very limited (we had only one stockpot, no kitchen scissors, no spare rolls of toilet paper ...). The office did give us two extra pots and one extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom when we went to the office to ask. We did not ask to have the dishwasher and refrigerator repaired because we could make them work somewhat and we only stayed there for 5 nights. We have rented beach condos in other places in the U.S. Only this S Padre Island place is reluctant to give out supplies (you have to go to the office to ask for a roll of toilet paper, extra garbage bags.). Even when you ask, you get one extra. If you want more, you have to ask again and you get two...). These things do not cost much, but provide great convenience to customers. I don't understand why Padre Island Rentals manage so differently from the rest of the U.S.
We stayed 5 nights at bahia mar 175 . We were group of 8 , 69 yr old grandma ,my husband 56 myself 52 our son and daughter in law 30s daughter 24 and two children age 2 and 8 . We had a wonderful stay , picked a great week to visit . I totally expected crowds of people being at pool but usually had pool to ourselves or very few others at pool at any given time . Our condo had plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable . We ate at some really nice restaurants our favorites were Daddy's , Blackbeard , pier19 was awesome had breakfast the morning we left to go home and captain Roy's was small little eatery with great food and great price . Now for small negative you can rent canopies on beach which we did all week it was great however on Thursday they totally forgot to put canopy up it was 4:00 pm before it got up they did refund half cost and were really professional but just heads up pays to go check if it was put up in morning . Also morning prices are 30.00 for canopy and 4 chairs after certain hour goes up to 45.00 . The only other thing was the 4 flights of stairs we had to climb :( everyday back and forth would stay at bahia mar but not in a upstairs unit again ,it would really be great if there was a way a wooden walkway could be built coming from steps going down to beach my elderly mom only walked down to our canopy once due to really soft sand from steps to beach , if there had been wooden walkway would've made huge difference but very thankful they had nice boardwalk furniture for her to sit on while we were at beach close enough for us to go back and forth to check on her and spend time with her . Overall though great trip was first trip to South Padre , we all definitely want to go back . Hope this helps others when looking for rental there were no reviews for this rental so we were just hopeful all would be okay and it was great !
Check in upon arrival at Padre Island Rentals, 3100 Padre Blvd. at the corner of Padre Blvd. and Kingfish, 1 3/4 miles north of the bridge on the right side of the road one block north of the Blue Marlin Supermarket.
After checking in and receiving your parking permit make a right onto Padre Blvd. The Bahia Mar Resort, 6300 Padre Blvd (on the right hand side of Padre Blvd.), is less than 2 miles from our Office. Unit #175 is located on the north side of the Bahia Mar Resort. Turn into the north etrance and drive passed the hotel tower towards the beach. The condominium buildings are numbered. #175 is in building 1 on the third floor.

Occupancy limits are controlled by the use of wristbands. When you check in at Padre Island Rentals you must put your wristband on at that time. Bahia Mar security guards will only allow persons wearing the bands to enter the property. If you have friends or family visiting you during your stay you will need to make arrangements to meet them somewhere else, they will not be allowed onto the Bahia Mar Grounds.
Each rental at the Bahia Mar will receive up to 2 parking permits. Any additional vehicles will need to park off property.
