Aside from fishing the river and Piquett Creek, there is an acre+ stocked pond on the ranch. There is also a horseback riding insturction area at the barns. Becasue we are surrounded by national forest, there are plenty or roads and trails on which to ride. The tennis court is new; the golf course more for fun than for serious players. Perfect place for nountain biking on logging roads and mountain trails.
Year Purchased: 1961
About: We are John and Niki Talley. I am one of Frank Talley’s grandsons. Frank and his wife, Arline, purchased the property in 1961. I have spent most summers of my 45 year life on the Ranch. I am an avid fly fisherman and fly tier and was a Wisconsin DNR Angling Instructor for 2 years. I also am a 2 handicap on the golf course so if there is any instruction needed on our little course, or on the river, I am your guy. Niki has 6 years managing large multimillion dollar accounts in the outdoors industry. She has spent time in wilderness survival programs for youth teaching outdoor survival skills to troubled teens while obtaining skills herself. She is always willing to share (ask her to teach you the bow-drill fire starter while you’re here!) We both love backpacking, with many trips in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, Uintas, and of course in the Bitterroot Mountain ranges. In short we love the outdoors and are exited to share this great part of the country with you!
