“Peace and serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2014 for a stay in October 2014
'The beach and road along it was virtually deserted except for the occasional herd of cows (felt like I was back in NZ! :) )
We really felt totally alone here which is exactly what we wanted! '
'Highly recommend a trip to the Sam Roi Yot national park, foreigners have to pay 250 baht and Thais 40 baht BUT if you plan your day well you can use the one pass to enter all the national park attractions for that day, ie: The pass lets you into all the national park attractions for the day.'
'5 stars for this place. Thank you Sue for a lovely time.
PS: Please take good care of Chiang-Noi and Kitty and buy them some snacks (The gardener feeds them morning and night but a snack in the day goes down well, they are lovely dogs and love to play on the beach with you, and remember they are sitting outside your front door protecting you when you are sleeping :)'
“Relaxing place, ideal frontbeach location”
'My wife and I stayed at the beach house for 3 weeks in July. Sue, the property owner was very helpful in getting us transportation to the beach house from the Hua Hin railway station. The location of the house was perfect, literally on the beach with a great view of the sea from the living area. The stretch of beach was basically your.s There were occasionally a few people on the beach on weekends.
'Definitely get a scooter or car to get around since the house is at the end of a road along the beach. We were away from the hustle and bustle of tourists yet still convenient to local groceries.'
After a mix-up with the tripadvisor email system we finally began contact through private email addresses, I would recommend you do this from the start.
And now, the review; it was utterly amazing and beautiful there. The plunge pool was quite sufficient and actually bigger than it looks. We used it a lot since there was a very rare plague of jellyfish in the sea, it was so unusual it was on the news, but that was just a bit of bad luck, I doubt it will happen again for years.
The beach and road along it was virtually deserted except for the occasional herd of cows (felt like I was back in NZ! :) )
We really felt totally alone here which is exactly what we wanted! But then the weekend came and 2 houses away was a crowd of very noisy teens, reasonably well behaved but noisy. Apart from that it was total silence except for the crashing waves of the sea :)
At first I felt a little uncomfortable being so remote but I was to find out that the 2 dogs that belong to the house are also your security guards at night. In the day they are friendly and relaxed and follow you down to the beach to play, they are really lovely Chiang-Noi (little elephant) and Kitty. From day one they accepted us as owners of the house and would act
like our bodyguards from any strangers, i was quite amazed by this and really loved playing with them on the beach.
The layout of the 2 houses was not exactly as I expected, the front house you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other so it would have to be close family or friends to be living here. Me and my girlfriend chose the back house for sleeping and let my parents have the front house so it was not a problem :)
You definitely need a vehicle because there are no shops in walking distance but the shops and restaurants in the next bay are amazing! :)
Hint: Work out how to take the back roads to save time and about one million judder bars along the seaview road (if you're in a rush to go somewhere...... which you shouldn't be because you're on holiday! lol)

The location of the house was perfect, literally on the beach with a great view of the sea from the living area. The long stretch of beach was basically yours. Definitely get a scooter or car to get around since the house is at the end of a road along the beach. We were away from the hustle and bustle of tourists yet still convenient to local groceries and restaurants with the help of a scooter. The maid service was great, the grounds are very well kept and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had. Internet and satellite TV was great and reliable.
Sue coordinated a day for us to go to the local school to teach English. It was a delightful and very humbling experience for us. We wish we would have made reservations for a longer stay had we known how wonderful our time would be at the beach house.
If you are looking for a quiet family getaway, we highly recommend this beachfront house. The house is literally on the beach, 5km stretch of beach is pretty much yours for morning and evening strolls/runs. The house has basic amenities - a/c, fans, microwaves, oven, tv. The house owner, Sue, is super helpful and accommodative.
Renting a car is recommended if you are planning to stay at Beachfront house. You need it to get around to supermarket, nearby restaurants.
I was a little bit exiting before I arrived the house. Is it what I was waiting for?
But no problem it was exactly what I was dreaming.Situation and lay out of the house was perfect. From second bed room you can go out without disturb others
if they still was sleeping. The kitchen equipment was perfect and we had all we needed. Outsude the house there is a lovely own swimming pool. And what a view
to the see! Only some ten meters to walk to your own private beach. But so far your eyes can see the beach is almoust only yours. The place is very peaceful and if you have children it is no traffic between house and see. Toyd, the housekeeper was very kind and helpful.Thanks. If you look after very peaceful, clean and beautiful paradise without noisy tourist around you, this is your place. I have visited Thailand from 1977 about 50 times and seen many places. And what can be the best recommendation, I have booked this splendid house again 31.10.2012.
Ps.Only two small thing Sue.In the future if it is possiple to get safetybox and aircondition to livingroom, too.
We really enjoyed the 2,5 weeks we stayed in this beautiful beachfront house from February to early March.
We were two couples and two little children. Were looking for a quiet place, away form tourist crowds but not too far away from Bangkok and found it here. Loved the beach that we had most of the time just for ourselves. Enjoyed the beach life, swimming, walking, picking up beautiful shells. We cooked our own breakfasts and the kitchen was well equiped for that. Nice start for a day to have breakfast on your own terrace with a beautiful few to the sea. The pool at the terrace was nice place to cool down in the afternoons and late evenings, great for children to learn how to swim as well. It's a lovely house for a family, but as said from the second bedroom you have to walk trough the other one to get to the living area, or go round the outside. It's good to be aware of that if you are 2 couples. Both Sue and Toyd, the houskeeper took very good care of us and were very helpful with everything including the scooter and car rentals. We had 2 scooters rented for the whole time we staid. (You need one to go anywhere : ) We really enjoyed driving around. The beach road is very quiet and great for driving a scooter even if you are just learning. There are some small stores close by and many nice little places to eat by the beach road. We went to the Sam Roi Yod national park also with the scooters but rented a car for 2 days to go to Hua Hin. Arranged transportation from and to the airport trough Sue and were happy we did. Would love to come back soon.
After we finish 12 days at this house I suprise about description about place and house. This house is not the best location, I mean almost the opposite. Very bad road outside, not asphalt same picture on this site. And this house has not a luxury standard, but a ordinary standard. Much cheap hotels have much bether standard in Thailand(I been 6 times in Thailand). The inventary looks like old and much use, same house. Good about house is that is big. But thats you have to go trought a bedrom to go to next bedrom is not so god.
The outside is ok at daytime, you can svimming when water is high, many shell. But the beach is not the best to swimming. Nighttime is is very dark outside, because its almost no one living around. For children this house is boring to stay.
Because this house is so fare away a car is necessary. The house owner fixing car and scooter for renting. But we recomanded that you renting nearby where is more cheap. If you driving 10-15 minutes away from house you find out thats area is very nice with many resturants and beach. I recomanded "Very good restaurants" and areas around with many hotels, and closer to Hua Hin and Pran Buri.
The maid do a good work. We ask about she can cooking same she cooking to friend to me at the first days. But we not ask anymore, because we thinking she not want.
That we had to pay extra for everything(but we not have to) but feel like penalty for us. Extra for person living there. But summary we have 6 nights/person extra we paid for but not use. They say that we have to pay extra because we have one extra person few nights. They have a mattress 20 cm from pool and we have to paid two new mattress because the water destroying them.
The conclusion is that we had a bad feeling about that we paid to much about what we get back about staying in this house.
But if you like to relaxing and wants to be, alone this place is good. But this place is not a luxury one.
