Beautiful villa with direct sea access!
About Maureen Zehner
My husband and I currently reside in Colorado, USA. After several trips to beautiful Bonaire with our two sons, we decided to look for a place to call home there!
Maureen Zehner purchased this Villa in 2016
Why Maureen Zehner chose Santa Barbara Crowns
We wanted a property with direct access to the sea. This beautiful property, just one lot from beachfront, was exactly what we were looking for! It truly is a spacious island paradise.
What makes this Villa unique
After our first stroll through the garden gate and down the path to the sea, we fell in love. The access that this home has to the water means so much to our family; all passionate divers and snorkelers!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Absolutely perfect for our group!
Ranger's Perch is a lovely place for a family vacation! Generous spaces with comfortable furnishings, a great pool area and fantastic views make this property a special find. The location a bit north of town was perfect for us as our favorite dive sites (Oil Slick Leap, Andrea II and Karpata) were all nearby and the neighborhood is peaceful and safe. Booking was painless and the caretaker was easy to reach and most helpful upon our arrival. Thanks Maureen!
Maureen was great .she was very responsive and attentive to our needs .House was just as described. We especially enjoyed the outside patio for evening sunsets. The pool was very refreshing. We enjoyed The private walkway directly into the ocean for our SCUBA Diving. We would definitely stay here again.
Steve, it was our pleasure to have you visit! We’re glad you enjoyed our home, and would welcome you back anytime!
The house was great! It had everything we needed. It’s definitely a place I would recommend and go back to.
Thanks, Ron! It was great having you!
Enjoyed a fabulous week with 2 other couples at this lovely home. It is set up perfectly for divers with tubs for rinsing gear and areas to hang wetsuits etc. but would also be great for visitors who prefer to snorkel, enjoy the pool, head into town for some shopping or dining etc. It was great to have so much space and so many areas to enjoy different activities. The upper deck is a perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee and sunset toasts. Great to have such easy access to the BBQ and kitchen from this spot. The screened in porch area was perfect for evening meals or just hanging out. The kitchen is quite well stocked and it was a bonus to find a cooler, several re-useable water bottles, and shopping bags to use. Lovely new fridge provided ample space for groceries. We did need to purchase our own dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent but otherwise, many extras were available eg. coffee filters, plastic wrap, tinfoil, a few spices. The owners provide a binder with lots of helpful information about the home and area. There are also lots of books and games available - even some books on identifying the many varieties of fish and coral. Quite a unique experience to be able to walk down the path and go diving or snorkelling on the 'house reef'. The pool is lovely though very deep so would not be suitable for guests with younger children. The house is situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac so very peaceful - other than the songbirds which were lovely to hear. It does take about 15-20 minutes to drive back into town so best to plan ahead for buying groceries or other items. Overall, we would highly recommend this location and would definitely consider returning.
Rowena and Allan, thank you for staying with us!
For future guests, we keep a supply of toilet paper, Kleenex, liquid hand soap, and bar soap. Other consumable household products may vary, but can be purchased locally.
Twenty years ago we planned a honeymoon in Bonaire that didn’t materialize. It was worth the wait! Maureen’s home was the perfect celebration location. The house, the pool, the surrounding area was unbelievable. Maureen was an excellent host providing everything we needed for our first trip to Bonaire. We were able to celebrate with our best man (Dave), and family. The bottle of champagne on arrival (as well as a few refreshing Amstel Brights) was a thoughtful gift. This is the first time ever that our teenage daughter said she wasn’t ready to go home! The parrots, the pool, the house, the quiet, the easy access to the water, made it one of the most memorable vacations ever. My best man and I love to cook, and the kitchen was awesome! We will be back! Thanks to Nathalie too for being such a great sport and waiting on us at the airport!
From the moment we walked in we were blown away by the design and comforts of the house. Maureen the owner sent us a email before we got there that had lots of tips and suggestions about the house and Bonaire. Nathalie met us at the airport so we could follow her to the house she gave us an introduction to the house and all of its features. Plus she even called to check on us to make sure everything was going good. This is an amazing house and I can't wait to come back again!
