Great place for us
We were a family of 10 for most of the 5 days of our stay.. 9 of us spent a lot of time fishing ( caught fish every time we went to the creek). We took our kayaks up towards Galetin and got them out at the rental. The kitchen made the meal prep very easy. We brought 2 air beds to allow us to comfortably sleep 10 ( and 3 dogs).. Some of us visited both lookouts, some walked the turkey path, all of us rode bikes in the canyon, some of us fished at Four Mile Run, and we all enjoyed sitting around the campfire ( wood was included). I already booked for a Monday to Monday stay next June.
We are so glad you all enjoyed your stay and are looking forward to seeing you next year.

Nice sitting out on deck watching the wildlife
Property was very clean and well kept reminded me of my childhood home taking me back to a simpler time would recommend to my friends would consider another stay
Lots of room.
Huge and well furnished! The house has everything you need for a great vacation! Very comfortable mattresses! The night skies were amazing as well.
WE'RE NOT IN MANHATTAN, NY. WE ARE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR NORTH OF WILLIAMSPORT, PA & 1 HOUR SOUTH OF CORNING, NY, MINUTES FROM THE "PA GRAND CANYON".
If you're looking for a little more
than just sitting on the deck, relaxing with your favorite drink and watching the wildlife ramble across the yard, you should check out the following.
You can catch the snowmobile trails fight from your door; Hop on your sled and head out for the day.
Head West and check out the PA Lumber Museum 814-435-2652. They offer several events throughout the year. Log rolling is my favorite. Maybe you should give it a try.
The "Coudersport Ice Mine" in the summer is the place to be. It is amazing to see ice in the mine, yet the outdoor temperature can be as high as 90°.
"Leonard Harrison Lookout" and "Colton Point State Park" to our East provide breathtaking views of our PA Grand Canyon and are also great for hiking, bird watching and mountain biking. The Rails to Trails that run through the canyon, along Pine Creek is great for the Bicycle enthusiast. Don't forget to check out the Turkey Path at Leonard Harrison.
Pine Creek is great for whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing (trout are stocked). Pine Creek Outfitters, (570) 724-3003, can help you out with whatever equipment you might need. They can also help out with transportation from your destination back to your starting point.
"Old Covered Wagon Rides" is the place to go and mosey down the trail through the PA Grand Canyon on a horse drawn covered wagon. The knowledge that they share about this wonderful wilderness area is remarkable. 570-724-7443.
If you are into star gazing, you will definitely want to head to Cherry Springs State Park. They are famous for their dark skies. Oftentimes, you are able to see the Northern Lights. 814-435-5010.
Tyoga Country Club 570-724-1653 is the place for your golfing enthusiasts.
Come to Wellsboro during the holidays and you'll find Christmas Trees on the boulevard between the gas lights that are dressed with pine wreaths. At Dickens of a Christmas (First weekend in December) you'll see our town dressed in their very best Victorian garb. The streets are closed to motorized vehicles so that you can explore; Check out the local businesses as well as hand made items offered by the locals. There are vendors in front of all the stores and carolers on the street corners. If you need a snack, try some of the hot kettle corn. They make it on the spot like many of the other foods and goods that are offered on the streets. Another favorite is home made peanut brittle. Our local Maple Syrup is a must try too.
The sunset dinner ride on the "Tioga Central Railroad" might be a great way to end your day. 570-724-0990.
Lyman Run State Park, 814-435-5010, offers boat rentals and beaches so that you can get in your water activities. There is ice skating in the winter.
The "Corning Glass Museum" is just an hour north and well worth the trip. You'll actually see glass blowing demonstrations. 800-732-6845.
Multiple wineries are a little over an hour north of us.
For more information on the area and various events, call our local Potter/Tioga County Visitors Bureau at 570-724-0635.
See you soon,
