Open, modern home with an ever changing collection of art and vintage touches. Comfortable, quiet and relaxing, a perfect retreat for one or romantic getaway for couples. Just the right size for families or small groups.
A well-appointed kitchen should provide you everything you need to prepare meals; including a kitchen aid mixer, food processor, high powered blender, espresso machine and variety of coffee makers (we take our coffee very seriously around here). We stock plenty of pots, pans, bakeware and tools. We use the house, too and I love to cook! I keep a variety of cookbooks at the house with something for everyone: from omnis to veggies to vegans (make sure to check out the book by our local author and owner of Superfresh! Organic Cafe in downtown Brattleboro!) I try to keep local coffee and a selection of teas available for guests as well as pantry staples like oils, vinegars, soy, spices, etc. Always help yourself to anything that you find. There is a charcoal grill available when it's not covered by a foot of snow and charcoal and propane are provided (it's a propane start charcoal grill- the best of both worlds!)
The dining room seats 6 comfortably (but we have extra chairs downstairs if you need to squeeze in a couple more). The living room is outfitted with a cozy overstuffed sectional sofa and soapstone woodstove. Wood is provided (if you leave us your newspapers we will be forever grateful, though!). We have a tv in the living room, but note that there is no cable. We have provided a media center with lots of movies and some tv shows. There are board games, puzzles, books and even some arts/crafts supplies to keep you entertained if you choose to stay more unplugged. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and adjoining full bath with a deep whirlpool tub. Plenty of linens, pillows and extra blankets are available throughout the home. Upstairs in the loft you will find a futon couch and daybed on either end of the loft (these areas are open space). The second bedroom (private space) includes another queen size bed and adjoining full bath.
During the warmer months, my favorite space is the large deck. We usually plant some herbs in the whiskey barrels- feel free to snip as much as you need! Plenty of chairs and a table for alfresco dinners or just relaxing in the quiet and watching the hummingbirds come to the flowers.
Yoga workshop and NECCA discounts, weekly and monthly rates available. Get in touch! We'd love to chat!

Note: The house is situated on a private dirt road. In snowy weather conditions it could be difficult to navigate without 4WD. Please, drive slow and be careful on the access road. We routinely have cows, goats and chickens crossing the road.
