A 5200 sq foot house that sits on a bench above Florence MT. A lot of people say it's the best view in the valley and you can enjoy that view on the oversized concrete patio out back with all sorts of seating. With 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms featuring 3 walk-in showers everyone staying here will feel special. The house has gone through a complete remodel that started in 2014. The house also has air conditioning!

Lots of space
We enjoyed our time here. As mentioned by other reviews it is not a completely finished house but the important parts were and there wasn't any danger presented in the unfinished portions. It was a little dissappointing to find so much of the fridge and freezer occupied with someone else's things. We were preparing a lot of food for a couple of parties and could have used all the space.
We did have a bit of trouble with the water being off for a short time. Unfortunately it was a rather crucial time when we were all trying to get ready to leave for the main event we were there for! Eventually the owner got back to us for some fixes but it was too late by then. I would suggest that perhaps writing a note so that people can get to it quickly if it continues to be an issue. To be fair it was very hot while we were there and that may have contributed. Which brings me to the air conditioning! Thank goodness for that! It worked great and we sure needed it!
It is a nice place and the view is spectacular. We were able to see the stars on the one night when the wildfire smoke was not too bad. I would recommend it for a bigger group when you need some elbow room!
Beautiful View, Beautiful Kitchen, Under Construction
-Beautiful view off the back deck.
-Kitchen was easy to cook in.
-A con (distance from town) ended up forcing us to cook 'at home' a lot & we loved sitting on the back deck.
-Comfortable bedding & nice towels.
-Cleaning supplies were provided.
-Deer in the front yard!
-The owner was responsive to our contact for help with the water turning off on the first day (the sprinklers had messed up something with the well, so we turned off the sprinklers).
-Under construction: the downstairs suite consisted of walking through a hallway bunkroom, to an attached enormous 1/2 bath (needed a shower), then through to a room with a king bed (no other entry). There was no door between the bunkroom and toilet (missing pocket door). Consequently, we called the 'suite' the 'public toilet' & the bunkroom sleeper had to time sleeping with the adjoining bedroom since there was no way out for those guests without walking through the bunkroom.
-All downstairs occupants shared one bathroom, though there were two bunkbeds, a king bed and several futon couches for sleeping. Notably, there were only 3 full baths and 1 half bath in the house, NOT 4/1 as advertised.
-Our first day, a guest ran out of water during a shower, despite no other water use.
-Downstairs bar was under construction.
-Downstairs deck was under construction (exposed pipes for probably eventual hot tub?)
-Upstairs master still under construction: no door between the bathroom & bedroom area, affording no privacy. The pony wall in the master was missing tiles.
-There were not enough plates for serving & eating meals (service for 8; we were 6 & it’s supposed to sleep 12). If the house had been full, there would not have been enough for everyone to have a plate. A house of this size should have a service for 24, so you don't have to wait for the dishwasher to run to set the next meal.
-Far from Missoula. Per the map, it was not bad, but given all the traffic lights, it took a long time. We had to plan 35-40 minutes for the commute.
Honestly, beautiful house, but we got the impression we were the first guests and it was not done being set up for guests, or built. Given the very high cost of the rental, we were surprised at the non-disclosed construction status, water issues, lack of enough dinnerware, matching glasses and pantry/fridge filled with the owner's food.
Cost will be justified once the owner completes construction and performs a comprehensive 'make ready'.
The views are amazing! The home allowed several family members to enjoy being together.
The property has great features while some repairs are needed.
Montana Vacation - Fantastic House
We had a wonderful family vacation at this home. It is a beautiful property with excellent views. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-equipped. There is a deck off the kitchen with beautiful views of the mountains. The open concept between the kitchen and upstairs living space (with big screen TV) is ideal. Downstairs is a huge living space with another big screen TV, bar area, and an adjacent room with a foosball table. Walking out the back doors from the downstairs living space is a great entertaining space with a gas/propane fireplace (see pictures - it is a must use!). While there, we enjoyed whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and fly fishing. We would love to go back for another trip and stay at this fantastic home.
Thank you very much! Glad you loved it and hope to have you back!
