About the property

Condominium - 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s) - 2 Baths - (Sleeps 4-6)

Our Keystone Escape is our home away from home and we are happy to be able to share it with you and your family and/or friends. You can see in the pictures that we have a great view of the Mountain House lifts and runs at Keystone Resort. Our kids (10, 8 and 2) easily make the 250 yard walk to the lifts in the winter. In the summer, we often ride our bikes from our Keystone Escape to Dillon, Frisco and even as far as Copper Mountain and Vail Pass -- all on safe, paved bike paths.

We have furnished the master bedroom with a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a twin xl over queen bunk. There is also a queen pullout bed in the couch in the living room. While we only officially allow 6 guests, the bunk in the second bedroom allows the flexibility of having three couples on queen size beds or splitting up the kids between the three beds in the second bedroom and living room.

The kitchen comes stocked with all the basics as well as baking pans, a Keurig for a quick cup of morning coffee and a large crock pot for that après-ski chili or soup. We even stock non-perishable baking supplies, pancake mix and spices so you don't have to buy a 5 lb. sack of flour or sugar just to make one batch of treats or tear open packets of salt and pepper just to flavor a meal (if you have stayed at other properties, you probably know what I am talking about).

In general, we try to think about what we like and dislike when we stay at other properties and bring the best to ours. We have thought about toys for the kids (mostly Legos and Little People), movies for the family and food in the pantry. If there is anything else you have questions about, feel free to ask.

About Michael

We live in the Denver area and have owned our condo since 2006. The entire family skis and boards at Keystone. We all love the variety of terrain that Keystone has to offer and couldn't think of a better place to spend our weekends.

Why Michael chose Keystone

This is our second home and we try to make it as comfortable as possible for us and our kids. When we think of things we would like to have at the condo and we try to come up with the best way to share these things with our guests. You will find spices, flour, sugar, coffee, toys, games, movies, etc.

We had a wonderful two months in this wonderful condo. The summer up here is ideal--weather, wild flowers, hummingbirds and plenty of outdoor activities. It was truly a "home away from home" and close proximity to family members made it ideal. Summer in the mountains is "special". Hope to return again.

We stayed here early summer and had a FABULOUS time. Saw a beaver swimming in the wetlands less than 50 yard from our condo; fish jumping for flies in the evening. We hiked, rode bikes, paddled boats on the close 5 acre lake, had gourmet breakfasts, went to a concert, and loved the HOT tub. The view from the balcony is FANTASTIC (wetlands, ski mountains,and the wonderful sounding so close Snake river). The condo had everything that we need & we will be back again- Summer and Winter.

Very Nice Little Condo

We arrived and everything was ready for us. Ran into a little issue with the keys, but Michael was quick to respond and assist without hesitation, something that goes a long way with a renter. The condo was decorated lovely with all the amenities of home you could want. My wife was even elated that there were games in the condo to play. A little hike to the lift, but gets the blood flowing before hitting the slopes. Will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Michael!

Wonderful property!!!

Condo was very nice, kitchen was beautiful very well stocked, loved the extras including spices, foil, etc. The beds were very comfortable!!!! I stay in a VRBO at least one to 2 times per year and I would definitely say this condo was at the top in comparison. I would recommend two things: a toaster and possibly towels for the hot tub. otherwise everything was perfect and exceeded expectations!!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. I will talk to the company we use for cleaning about leaving more towels but the toaster... we used to have a toaster. It was nice. It toasted 4 slices and even had a bagel setting. I can't explain its disappearance but I will be sure to get it replaced. Thanks for the heads-up on both of these items.

A Colorado gem!

This is the best VRBO condo we have ever stayed at and it is a great value.

The condo is in excellent condition with the latest luxuries including dual control heated bed cover in the master bedroom, window coverings that really do block the sun (for days you want to sleep in), modern electronics, lots of game choices, gas fireplace, well stocked with supplies in case you forgot them like band aids, extra items that you might run out of at other condos such as Kleenex tissues, paper towels, etc., and useful cooking items such as Pam, sugar, and a huge variety of spices.

It is a short walk to the ski lifts with a wonderful view of the slopes from the balcony and the master bedroom where you can view the Saturday night fireworks in the winter. The layout of the condo is great for privacy and convenience. There is a washer/dryer in case you need it for a longer trip.

Excellent location, cozy and comfortable condo

I was MORE than impressed with this condo.

The location was a walk to the ski lifts with a great view of the slopes from the balcony and the master bedroom. We sat in the hot tub every day after skiing, and that also had views of the slopes.

The condo was very comfortable. Everything from the sofa, to the dining chairs, to the beds was comfortable and helped us relax after a long day of skiing. I really liked the layout and the ability to socialize and still have the ability for privacy in the bedroom/baths. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a variety of meals (excellent crock pot) and even a barbecue grill. The condo was very clean, and even though we had brought our own food, laundry detergent, etc. there was plenty of food/supplies already at the condo. The washer/drying made it possible for us to wash some of our stinky ski cloths..which was a very nice bonus for us women!!

Michael, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and went out of his way to ensure we had what we needed. He was very prompt on returning phone calls when I had questions. I can't say enough about how comfortable it made me to have such a responsive owner. My family and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back at this condo in the near future.
